Brian Peters

Brian Peters joined HighBar Partners from Barclays Capital, where he was a Vice President in the Technology, Media and Telecom group. In that role, he provided companies and financial sponsors with strategic advisory services and assisted them with their capital markets needs. Mr. Peters completed more than 20 transactions, raising over $1 billion in capital through equity, debt and hybrid security offerings. Notable advisory mandates included assisting Cisco Systems in the sale of its home networking business unit (“Linksys”) to Belkin International and advising Entropic Communications in its acquisition of Trident Microsystems’ set-top box business unit. Prior to joining Barclays, Mr. Peters was an Analyst at Rosemount Capital Management, a hedge fund backed by Merrill Lynch, which focuses on direct trade-related credit investments in corporate and financial institutions in more developed emerging markets. During his time at Rosemount, Mr. Peters originated, structured, syndicated and traded a diversified portfolio of Latin American trade finance debt obligations. Prior to his finance career, Mr. Peters was a software developer for Nextel Telecomunicações Ltda. and Evertec, Inc. where he developed .NET web services across sectors including telecom, government, education and financial services. Mr. Peters holds a BSE in Computer Engineering, with Honors, from the University of Michigan and an MBA from Columbia Business School.
