Brian D. Laughlin is a Technical Fellow from CAS-IDS e-Enabled Systems Architecture in EO&T. He has over 24 years of aviation experience (20 at Boeing) In a variety of capacities including: Sheetmetal Mechanic, Composites Mechanic, Process Engineering Analyst, Systems Analyst, Internet course Developer/ Instructor, IT Architect, etc.
Academic achievements include a BA in Psychology, an MA in Experimental Psychology, and a Ph.D in IFactors Psychology. Brian is also an elected member of the Golden Key International Honors Society and Psy Chi National Honors Society in Psychology.
Academic Research and Career focus has been in Usability, Interface Design, and Computer Mediated Communications, with an emphasis on the application of Internet technologies towards streamlining business processes. He began in 1994, as a Software Engineer at the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR).
