Baljinder Sharma

Baljinder Sharma, has over thirty years experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker and independent director. He started his career with India’s leading IT Services firm, HCL Ltd ($38B market cap) after graduating from the National Institute of Technology – a premier engineering school

in 1989 with a bachelors degree in electronics and communications engineering. A decade-long stint in the technology services business during which he founded and co-

founded several businesses in the telecom, software engineering, training and outsourced services space, followed by a move to an investment banking career which

saw him execute transactions worth $4B including one of India’s largest outbound investments into Australia. In 2012, he became an advisor to a large private equity fund ($1.2BAUM) with several blue-chip global investors. He served on the Advisory Board as well as Chair of the

Investment Committee. Meanwhile, he founded a licenced telecom services business and a licensed commercial bank in Mauritius in 2014 and 2016 respectively. He is well known and well sought-after professional within the financial services industry in Mauritius, Africa and India across advisors, regulators and administrators.
