Beatriz Amary

Born in Brazil, Beatriz always wanted to work with emerging markets. Not wanting to join a fund that would make money at any cost, Beatriz signed up with Actis – and its positive power of capital approach – in 2007. Beatriz joined Actis after working for over four years at JP Morgan, first as an M&A analyst and then as a private equity associate in Brazil and later, New York (focusing on Latin America). She is a graduate from Fundação Getúlio Vargas and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. After her MBA, Beatriz worked at Johnson & Johnson as a Neutrogena product manager, gaining extensive experience of the cosmetics industry. Beatriz was impressed by the rigour of Actis’s global due diligence processes and its ability to attract talent. But what she finds truly exhilarating is her day to day exposure to different kinds of markets and business professional from all over the world.
