His vision is to build artificial intelligence for embodied systems such as robots, cars and homes. He received his PhD from Stanford University in Artificial Intelligence with Prof. Andrew Ng (advisor), Prof. Sebastian Thrun, Prof. Daphne Koller, and Prof. Stephen Boyd.
