Ashley Brown

Ashley Brown is the Program Director for the Igniting METS Startup Accelerator: Powered by KPMG Energise, connecting innovative METS sector startups with major mining companies to drive greater takeup of disruptive technologies. A management consultant with nearly 20 years experience, Ashley combines his skills in strategy, growth and business transformation for corporate clients with his passion for innovation, disruption and startups, to lead one of Australia’s most unique innovation programs. Since the inception of Energise in 2015, Ashley has assisted 30 startups in three startup cohorts to refine their value propositions, business models and strategies, as well as helping them to develop the skills and experience required to successfully engage with leading global and national energy and resources corporations. He has led corporate innovation masterclasses and innovation diagnostic studies for corporate clients including Woodside, WesCEF, South32, Chevron and BHP Billiton. Prior to joining KPMG, Ashley was a Principal with Momentum Partners, one of Australia’s leading boutique management consultancies focussed on the energy and resources sectors. He has worked as a management consultant specialising in strategy, growth and innovation at global professional services firms KPMG and Deloitte, having commenced his career with Telstra Corporation. Ashley has a degree in International Business from Griffith University.
