Andy Leeka

A health care CEO with more than two decades of experience, Andy Leeka currently serves as chief executive director of the COVID-19 Medical Relief Center in Los Angeles. He was appointed to this role by the mayor of Los Angeles to manage operational functions in partnership with government officials and the LAFD, LAPD, and EMS. Andy Leeka led an effort that converted a convention center to a 240-bed unit with contingency plans that would enable the facility to accommodate 1,000 more beds. The entire conversion process took 2 weeks. Previously, Andy Leeka functioned as president and CEO of the Good Samaritan Hospital, helping the inner-city medical center turn around from a $15 million operating loss and growing the daily census from 154 to 220 over 3 years. Mr. Leeka holds multiple degrees, including a master of business administration in finance and marketing from California State University, Northridge, and a master of public health in health services management from UCLA.
