My mission is to help organizations meet their goals through effective human capital management. I do that directly through client projects and my work as a private equity Operating Partner, indirectly by educating & mentoring other HR professionals, and at scale by sharing open-source content. Founded in 2018, Series B Consulting is the umbrella organization encompassing my advisory support for PE & VC platforms, hands-on projects and executive search for individual client companies, 1:1 mentoring of HR leaders, and the People Leader Accelerator executive education program. My perspectives have been documented through "Scaling for Success: People Priorities for High Growth Organizations", published by Columbia University Press in 2021, my 70+ podcast guest appearances, feature articles in major media outlets, and periodic public speaking engagements. My work is grounded in decades of in-house HR experience. As an operator, I have participated in more than a dozen M&A transactions, multiple IPOs, bankruptcies, and successful PE sponsor exits. I have supported employee populations of 5,000+, built several HR functions, and led teams within some of the most highly regarded HR functions (Pepsi, General Electric) as well as multiple high-growth startups.
