Aki Ratner

Mr. Ratner has served as the President of Precise since December 2000 where his responsibilities included running the worldwide sales, marketing, support and R&D. Mr. Ratner has played a pivotal role in the acquisition of Precise Software Solutions by Veritas in June 2003 for $609M. From May 1997 to 2000, Mr. Ratner served as General Manager and Vice President of Research and Development. During that time Mr. Ratner ran the operation of EMEA and AP and was a key person in the turn around of the company. Under Mr. Ratner's guidance, Precise has dramatically expanded and strengthened the Company's R&D operations, spearheading the development of the Precise's core product offerings and continually expanding the company's industry-leading suite of application performance management solutions. Mr. Ratner was also instrumental in forging Precise's OEM relationships with EMC Corporation and Amdocs Corporation and has also been responsible for the Company's global expansion, spearheading the development of Precise's distribution channels throughout Europe and the Far East, and establishing its offices in the UK, France, Germany, Benelux and Australia. Prior to joining Precise, Mr. Ratner directed a range of operational IT projects during a 20-year career with the Israeli Air Force Command Intelligence Division, combining operational responsibilities with flying and various software development management positions. From 1991 to 1996, Mr. Ratner served as Lieutenant Colonel first managing a division developing real-time systems and later another division of over 200 software engineers developing client/server projects. He was also involved for several years in a variety of joint-venture initiatives with United Technologies Corp.
