Yuzu is a fast-growing, Series B health-tech company based in New York City. We are reshaping the healthcare landscape by simplifying healthcare administration and delivery. As we enter a hyper-growth phase, we are looking for an ambitious, execution-first Lead/Principal IC Recruiter who can own full-cycle recruiting across both technical and business domains, while actively building the foundational infrastructure to scale our team and culture.

This is a unique growth-track role. We are looking for an elite individual contributor (IC) who executes at the highest level today and has the appetite, strategic vision, and operational grit to scale with the company.


The Role

As our TA Lead, you will sit at the center of Yuzu’s growth. You will be a hands-on recruiting powerhouse, splitting your focus between deep technical sourcing (Engineering, Product) and core operational scaling (GTM, Operations).

You will work shoulder-to-shoulder with our CTO, department heads, and executive team. While your day-to-day will be heavily focused on execution and clearing the hiring backlog, you will simultaneously own our talent tech stack, refine our interviewing architecture, and partner on headcount planning.


Key Responsibilities

  • Full-Cycle Execution: Personally own and drive the end-to-end recruitment lifecycle for critical roles across Engineering, Product, GTM, and Operations.

  • Technical & Ops Sourcing: Act as an elite outbound sourcer. You know how to unearth top-tier engineering talent and specialized operational profiles using advanced sourcing workflows, data enrichment, and modern automation tools.

  • Structured Hiring Architecture: Partner with the CTO and hiring managers to build and maintain rigid, equitable, and highly efficient technical and non-technical interview loops.

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a trusted consultant to internal stakeholders—helping them define role requirements, manage candidate expectations, and calibrate pipelines efficiently.

  • Data & Stack Ownership: Manage and optimize our talent acquisition tech stack (ATS, analytics, sourcing tools). Use clean data to identify pipeline bottlenecks, predict hiring velocity, and report transparently to leadership.

  • Employer Branding: Champion Yuzu’s engineering and corporate culture within the NYC startup ecosystem to position us as a premier destination for top-tier talent.

About You

You are a relentless builder who thrives in the fast-paced, ambiguous environment of a venture-backed startup. You are incredibly proud of your craft as an IC recruiter, but you are looking for an environment where your strategic input is valued.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Startup/Scaleup DNA: 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with a minimum of 2 years in-house at a fast-growing, venture-backed tech startup (ideally experiencing a rapid scaling phase).

  • Dual-Domain Fluency: Proven track record split between deep technical sourcing (software engineers, product managers) and high-impact GTM/Operations hiring.

  • Sourcing Mastery: Advanced competency with modern ATS platforms, data enrichment/sourcing automation tools, and outbound sourcing strategies. You rely on data and automation to work smart, not just hard.

  • Ambition to Lead: As a strategic talent leader, you are ready to absorb organizational design, budget management, and headcount planning.

  • Location: Based in or willing to relocate to the New York City area with an in-office expectation to deeply embed yourself with the team.

Compensation

$160k to $230k annual salary, plus a meaningful equity component commensurate with the level of role at a Series A company in NY/SF.
