TL;DR: We're hiring a DevRel Lead to make White Circle the AI safety platform engineers and researchers actually want to build with. You'll own how we show up to technical audiences: shipping technical content, running hackathons and meetups, launching open-source tools like Halo, and building partnerships across the AI ecosystem.

About White Circle
White Circle is an AI Safety company building the safety, reliability, and optimization layer for AI systems. At the core of our platform are policies: simple natural-language rules that define what an AI model should and shouldn't do. We automatically test, enforce, and continuously improve these policies at scale.

• We’ve recently raised our Series A funding round, taking our total funding to $70M. Our investors include top funds, founders, and senior leaders at OpenAI, Anthropic, HuggingFace, Mistral, DeepMind, Datadog, Sentry, and others

• We process over one hundred million API calls every month

• We fine-tune and train our own LLMs so they run faster and cheaper than any open or proprietary model

We're a small, highly focused team. If you want to work deeply on hard problems, see your work ship to production quickly, and influence how AI safety is actually built, you're the one we need.

What you'll do

• Own White Circle's developer relations: how engineers and AI researchers discover, understand, and adopt what we build

• Lead technical launches for open-source releases and developer tools, like our Halo framework, from narrative and demos through to launch day

• Write and publish technical content: blog posts, tutorials, walkthroughs, demos, and threads on X and LinkedIn

• Organise and run hackathons, meetups, and technical events, mainly in SF and New York

• Build and grow a technical community around our open-source work and platform

• Set up and run technical partnerships and collaborations with AI labs, dev tools companies, and research teams

• Give technical input to promo and product videos, working with our design and creative team on production

• Track what's working (signups, repo stars, views, event turnout, hiring pipeline) and double down on it

We're looking for someone who

• Has a strong technical background as a software engineer, ML engineer, or researcher

• Has worked at a technical product company, ideally in dev tools, infrastructure, databases, or AI

• Has organised hackathons, meetups, or technical events, and can show how they went (turnout, signups, what came out of them)

• Has an engaged following among engineers and/or AI researchers on X, LinkedIn, GitHub, or elsewhere

• Knows the AI tooling landscape well: coding agents, eval frameworks, open-source models, and who is building what

• Can take a complex technical topic and make it compelling for a developer audience without dumbing it down

• Thrives with ownership and moves fast without waiting for direction

• Is based in the US, or able to work US hours. SF or New York is ideal, but we'll consider exceptional candidates anywhere

• Is fluent in English

A big plus

• You've led developer marketing or DevRel for a technical launch that drove real adoption

• You've contributed to or maintained popular open-source projects

• You have existing relationships across the AI research and developer community

• You've worked on or around AI safety, evals, or reliability

Process
