Software Engineer
What you need
- 5 yrs progressive post-baccalaureate software engineering experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Robotics
- 3 yrs C++ sensor data processing experience
- Pipeline design for large-scale streaming sensor data
- Scalable API development for downstream consumers
What you'll do

You will:
- Develop C++ algorithms to process and interpret lidar, radar, and camera sensor data
- Design and implement efficient processing pipelines for large-scale streaming sensor data
- Collaborate with Perception and Planning teams to understand and define data needs
- Design and develop scalable APIs to make sensor data available to downstream consumers
- Support the deployment, testing, and validation of machine learning models
- Contribute to the creation and refinement of system evaluation tools and processes
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field of study and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
- Alternatively, will accept a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related field of study and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in a Software Engineering-related occupation.
- Position requires 3 years of experience in the following:

- C++ algorithm development for sensor data processing (lidar, radar, and camera)
- Pipeline design and processing for large-scale streaming sensor data
- Scalable API design and development for downstream consumers
- Machine learning model deployment, testing, and validation
- Data needs definition for perception and planning teams
The expected base salary range for this full-time position across US locations is listed below. Actual starting pay will be based on job-related factors, including exact work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
