Vantor is seeking a Senior Platform Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and operate mission-critical software platforms across AWS cloud environments and customer-owned on-premise infrastructure. This role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, deployment automation, platform architecture, and operational support for both commercial and defense customers.

The ideal candidate is both an architect and an operator — someone who can scale cloud and on-prem deployment platforms while building the engineering rigor, automation, and accountability needed to reduce operational chaos and improve delivery reliability.

Success in this role requires equal comfort designing infrastructure architectures, automating deployments, troubleshooting production systems, and supporting customer-facing deployment activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and maintain AWS-based production infrastructure

  • Deploy and support customer-owned on-premise environments

  • Build repeatable deployment automation for cloud and hardware-based installations

  • Develop Infrastructure-as-Code standards for both AWS and customer environments

  • Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve deployment reliability

  • Support release engineering and production operations

  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure, networking, and platform issues

  • Implement security best practices across cloud and on-prem environments

  • Support vulnerability remediation and compliance initiatives

  • Participate in architecture reviews and platform roadmap planning

  • Support customer-facing deployment and operational readiness activities

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years in DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering

  • Experience deploying and operating production workloads in AWS

  • Experience supporting Linux-based infrastructure

  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines

  • Experience deploying and operating physical infrastructure including servers, storage, networking, and virtualization platforms.

  • Strong troubleshooting and operational support skills

  • U.S. Citizenship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting defense, aerospace, intelligence, or mission-critical operational systems

  • Experience with sovereign cloud, disconnected operations, or customer-managed deployments

  • Experience implementing AI-assisted DevOps, AIOps, or autonomous operational tooling

  • Experience defining centralized vs distributed platform engineering operating models

  • Familiarity with geospatial intelligence, satellite operations, or mission planning systems

  • Familiarity with Zero Trust and modern DevSecOps practices

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field

Technologies & Domains of Interest

Candidates should bring strong familiarity with many of the following:

  • Dell Compute/Isilon, Juniper networking, Linux, Harvester

  • AI-assisted software operations and AIOps platforms

  • Distributed systems and mission-critical operational environments

Why This Role Matters

Vantor is building the infrastructure backbone for the next generation of spatial intelligence systems.

This role will directly shape how mission-critical software platforms are deployed, secured, automated, and operated across global commercial and defense missions.

You will help build, deploy, and maintain the operational foundation that enables autonomous systems, AI-powered mission planning, sovereign intelligence platforms, and real-time global situational awareness.

The future platform must operate anywhere:
