Why this role exists

Healthcare runs its most expensive resource, clinical labor, on spreadsheets, phone trees, and software built for retail shift work. Untether Labs is the AI-native workforce operations platform for virtual care. We handle scheduling, capacity planning, demand forecasting, utilization, and credentialing, and we replace UKG/Kronos-era tools plus the coordinator headcount wrapped around them.

We’re YC-backed, profitable, and growing. We have 100% logo retention, and every pilot we’ve run has converted to a paid contract. Our problem isn’t closing; it’s that not enough deals get started. That’s your job.

Why we started this

Our CEO, Aditya Sharma, spent 5+ years at Uber building marketplace systems, then built the virtual care infrastructure at Headspace/Ginger. At Headspace he watched clinical leaders lose hours every week to scheduling work. His view is that clinical scheduling has been miscategorized as an HR problem when it’s really a logistics problem. Untether treats it that way.

What you’ll do

You’re a hunter. You find the accounts, get the meetings, and keep deals moving until they sign. The CEO runs product demos; everything around them is yours.

  • Hunt. Build target lists, research accounts, and go get the meeting through cold email, LinkedIn, phone, warm intros, and events. You don’t wait for inbound.
  • Book the calls. Get COOs, VPs of Clinical, Care, and Service Ops, CNOs, CMOs, and nurse managers on the calendar. Telehealth and mid-stage virtual care companies come first.
  • Qualify hard. Find out who owns the problem, who owns the budget, and what breaks if they do nothing. Kill bad deals early.
  • Drive the middle of the funnel. Multi-thread every account, get the right stakeholders into the room, chase follow-ups, and push proposals and pilots forward. Don’t let deals go quiet.
  • Get the deal done. Work paper, procurement, and security reviews through to signature, alongside the CEO.
  • Run an AI-native motion. Our stack is HubSpot, Lightfield, Monaco, Apollo, Sales Navigator, and Claude, wired together over MCP, plus internal tooling we built ourselves. You’ll use agents for research, enrichment, sequencing, and CRM hygiene, and fix the workflow yourself when it breaks.

Your first 90 days

  • [Contract] Day 30, top and mid funnel: You own our Tier 1 target list. Multi-channel outbound is live under your name. You’re booking first meetings with ops and clinical leaders every week and qualifying them before they reach the CEO.
  • [Full time] Day 60: You’ve built a qualified pipeline you sourced yourself. Every active deal is multi-threaded, with a next step on the calendar. Stalled deals are either revived or closed out.
  • Day 90: Deals you sourced are in proposal or pilot, and you’re working your first ones to signature. You’ve written down the outbound plays that work.

What you bring

  • Healthcare is required. You have 3+ years in B2B sales, with at least 2 years selling into healthcare providers, telehealth, or digital health.
  • You’ve booked meetings with and sold to clinical or operations leaders (COO, CNO, CMO, VP Ops), not just HR or IT.
  • You have a hunter track record: pipeline you personally sourced from cold, with numbers to prove it.
  • You can keep a 5-person buying committee moving without losing the thread.
  • You’re technical enough to wire tools together. You’re comfortable with MCP-connected tools and AI agents, can write a good prompt, and can debug a broken workflow without filing a ticket.
  • You’ve worked in an early-stage company. You build the playbook rather than wait for one.
  • Nice to have: WFM, scheduling, or staffing software experience.

Compensation

  • OTE: heavily commission-weighted and uncapped
  • Start: a paid 30-day contract, converting to full-time
  • Benefits: Medical, dental, and vision; flexible PTO; fully remote

How to apply

Send one example of a healthcare deal you sourced from cold: who the buyer was, how you got the first meeting, and how you kept it alive. Bonus points for an AI workflow you built to prospect.

Interview Process

  1. 30-minute call with the CEO
  2. Work sample: build an outbound play for 5 real ICP accounts, with the list, the messaging, and how you’d book the meeting
  3. Live mock cold call and qualification call with the CEO playing a COO
  4. Reference calls, then a decision within one week
