Job Description

OUR MISSION

We exist to create a more connected, compassionate, and confident experience for people with cancer and those who care for them. We make it easier to get answers, access high-quality care quickly, and feel supported throughout treatment and beyond.

Today, Thyme Care is a market-leading value-based oncology care enabler, partnering with national and regional health plans, providers, and employers to deliver better outcomes and lower costs for thousands of people across the country. Our model combines high-touch human support with powerful technology and AI to bring together everyone involved in a person's cancer journey: caregivers, oncologists, health plans, and employers.

As a tech-native organization, we believe technology should strengthen the human connection at the center of care. Through data science, automation, and AI, we simplify complexity, improve collaboration, and help our care team focus on what matters most: supporting people through cancer.

Looking ahead, our vision is bold: to become a household name in cancer care, where every person diagnosed asks for Thyme Care by name. If you're inspired to make cancer care more human and to help reimagine what's possible, we'd love to meet you. Together, we can build a future where every person with cancer feels truly cared for, in every moment that matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to drive the evolution of Thyme Box — the care management platform our care team lives in every day. Thyme Box is how our nurses, social workers, care partners, nurse practitioners, and medical directors do their work: how they prioritize who to outreach, access clinical information, communicate with members, document care, and move people through every intervention in their cancer journey. When Thyme Box is fast, clear, intuitive, and intelligent, our care team spends less time fighting software and more time caring for people. Getting this right is central to both our care model and our unit economics.

This role owns a mature, mission-critical product that is used by hundreds of care team members and is under constant demand. You will drive its continued transformation from a workflow tool into an AI-native platform. You'll balance a high volume of day-to-day requests, bugs, and stakeholder needs with a multi-quarter vision for how technology can meaningfully increase our care team's capacity, quality, and joy in their work. You'll partner closely with the Head of Product, Care Delivery, your tech lead, service designers, and a team of engineers to shape what gets built and why.

Additionally, you will:

  • Own a roadmap for Thyme Box: set the roadmap and drive execution across the core care team surfaces — work prioritization and routing, tasking and next best actions, communications, navigation and summarization of clinical information, and automated documentation — from discovery through rollout and adoption

  • Make the care team dramatically more efficient: identify where time and clicks are lost across workflows done hundreds of times a day, and ship the measurement, improvements, , and automations that move real productivity metrics and allow care team members to operate at the top of their licenses

  • Lead the AI-native evolution of care delivery: drive the strategy and delivery of AI-powered capabilities — supporting processes, automating documentation, and providing decision support — determining where AI can augment or automate human work while safeguarding clinical safety, trust, and quality

  • Ground every decision in the care team's reality: spend time with nurses, social workers, care partners, NPs, and medical directors; understand their workflows deeply; and translate messy clinical and operational processes into clean, extensible tooling

  • Manage competing priorities with clarity: field and triage requests from Care Delivery operations, clinical leadership, enrollment, and compliance (e.g., NCQA), and make transparent, defensible calls about what to build now, later, or never

  • Own quality and reliability: run bug triage and release coordination for a platform people depend on in real time, balancing stability with velocity

  • Partner across the org: work hand-in-hand with engineering, service design, clinical leadership, Care Delivery ops, data science, training, and quality to deliver workflows that actually stick and change behavior on the ground

  • Leverage AI to accelerate your own work: stay on the frontier of AI tooling and apply it to sharpen your discovery, specs, analysis, and prototyping

This is an individual contributor role today, with the opportunity to build and lead a product team over time as the Care Delivery domain grows.

WHAT YOU'VE DONE

  • 6+ years of product management experience, with significant time owning complex, workflow-heavy software used by real operators

  • Healthcare experience required, preferably in care delivery, digital health, or value-based care models where care delivery execution directly impacts clinical or financial outcomes

  • Track record of shipping efficiency and workflow improvements that moved measurable outcomes — not just features, but features that are broadly adopted and drive meaningful behavior change

  • Experience translating ambiguous, cross-functional processes (clinical, operational, or otherwise) into clear product requirements engineering can build against

  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of competing requests and stakeholders while keeping a clear, defensible prioritization framework and building strong, trusting cross-functional relationships

  • Comfort operating close to the technical details — data models, edge cases, automations, and the downstream impact of implementation decisions

  • A strong perspective, based on practical experience, about AI's potential to transform how work gets done — you're constantly tinkering with new AI tools and thinking about how they reshape what's possible for the people you serve

  • Strong written and verbal communication, with the ability to translate between technical and non-technical audiences in both directions

  • Experience operating in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you defined the path forward

Nice to haves:

  • Experience in oncology, serious illness / palliative care, or chronic condition management

  • Hands-on experience shipping AI/LLM-powered product features, including safety guardrails, evaluation, and quality measurement

WHAT LEADS TO SUCCESS

Operator empathy. You never lose sight of the person using the tool — a nurse mid-call with a scared patient, a care partner juggling a queue. You design for their real day, not an idealized workflow, and you earn their trust by making their work genuinely easier.

AI exuberance grounded in craft. You're energized by what AI can do for care delivery. You're always tinkering, experimenting, and prototyping — while refining your perspective on what actually helps in a high-stakes clinical setting and what doesn't. You approach new technologies with curiosity and thoughtfulness.

Ruthless prioritization. You face far more demand than capacity, and you're comfortable with that. You make transparent trade-offs, say no gracefully, and keep the team focused on the highest-leverage work — even under pressure from senior stakeholders.

Strategic and operational range. You can set a multi-quarter vision for an AI-native platform and also dig deeply into a single confusing user flow or a nasty bug. You move fluidly between the two.

Systems thinking. You treat Thyme Box as a living system, not a pile of features. You care about consistency, extensibility, and technical debt, and you push back when a quick fix would create long-term disorder.

Cross-functional glue. You bring clarity where there's confusion across engineering, service design, clinical, and ops. People turn to you when something touches many teams and needs to actually work — and you build trust across those boun

daries.

Humility and directness. You listen first and build consensus by default, but you can drive hard decisions when needed. You say what you'll do and do what you say.
