The Basics:
The Sr. Director, Global Sales Enablement will lead the sales enablement team in developing, implementing and improving ongoing training and skills development to benefit the Global sales team. This includes overseeing the new hire onboarding process, ongoing training, certification, and account planning. In this role, the Sr. Director, Global Sales Enablement will be ambitious and forward thinking – someone who continuously sets the bar higher with the enablement program. This role requires experience running large scale enablement programs with a global scope.
Tanium's product roadmap is increasingly AI-driven and agentic — including Atlas, our AI/agentic operating system — and this role will be central to ensuring the global sales team can sell that shift with fluency and conviction as new AI-powered capabilities continue to ship.
This position follows the Company’s hybrid schedule which currently requires employees to work in the office at one of the following locations a minimum of three days per week: Addison, TX; Bellevue, WA; Durham, NC; Emeryville, CA; or Reston, VA.
What you’ll do:
- Work with sales leaders to accelerate sales transformation throughout the organization by developing a training and enablement roadmap for the enterprise sales team
- Develop and implement training strategy for the sales organization that increases salesforce productivity and performance
- Design curriculum to cover market, competition, company, products and services, sales processes, sales methodology, sales tools and skills training
- Build and own the enablement strategy for Tanium's AI-driven product roadmap, ensuring sellers can clearly and confidently articulate the value of AI/agentic capabilities
- Partner with Product Marketing and Product to keep messaging, positioning, and competitive differentiation current in training materials as the AI/agentic roadmap evolves
- Lead the Sales Enablement team to enhance a comprehensive onboarding plan, annual sales kickoffs, and continuous training program for Sales team members
- Motivate, coach and provide feedback on an ongoing basis
- Assist in efforts to monitor and measure training and development program effectiveness based on new hire evaluations, quarterly surveys, retention statistics, and regular feedback from participants and leaders
- Up to 10% travel as needed
We’re looking for someone with:
Minimum
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales training design, development, and delivery
- Minimum of 5 years managing and directing an enablement team
- Authorized to work in the U.S.
Preferred
- 10 years of experience in sales training design, development, and delivery
- Ability to build, implement, and facilitate online, classroom, peer group, and role play/flip the classroom methods of sales training
- Familiarity with common sales methodologies such as Challenger and Meddic
- Experience working with an LMS
- Previous software sales experience

What you’ll get
The annual base salary range for this full-time position is $250,000 to $385,000. This range is an estimate for what Tanium will pay a new hire. The actual annual base salary offered may be adjusted based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, location, education, skills, training, and experience.
