About Signadot

Signadot is the verification infrastructure for the agentic era. As coding agents write a growing share of cloud-native code, PR volumes are skyrocketing and creating major bottlenecks in software delivery. Verifying all that code has become the constraint on how fast teams can ship. Signadot offers a new approach to ephemeral environments and automated testing that is optimized for coding agents. Our Kubernetes-native platform lets developers and agents build and verify microservices at scale.

The Role

We are hiring our first dedicated Developer Advocate to establish Signadot's DevRel function from the ground up. This role will grow Signadot's organic discoverability by showing up authentically in the communities where cloud-native developers already live: Discords, Slacks, subreddits, X, GitHub, and the broader CNCF ecosystem. These are channels we cannot pay our way into, and that is exactly the point. Credibility there is earned through genuine contribution, and we want someone who has already earned it.

You will also be the connective tissue between those communities, our own community, and our engineering and marketing teams. The conversations you participate in and the friction you observe should flow back into our content strategy and product roadmap as a structured feedback loop, not anecdotes that get lost in Slack.

This is a builder role at an early-stage company. You will have real ownership, direct access to the founders, and the freedom to shape what DevRel looks like here. You will also be expected to operate independently, ship consistently, and measure what you do.

What You'll Do

Community engagement and brand presence

  • Participate authentically in the communities where our users and prospects spend their time: relevant Slacks/Discords/subreddits, X, Hacker News, etc..
  • Build Signadot's presence and reputation in these channels by being genuinely useful, answering questions, sharing knowledge, and engaging in relevant conversations without shilling.
  • Engage the DevRel teams and communities of our integration partners to build co-marketing relationships, joint content, and shared community presence.
  • Nurture and grow Signadot's own community, making it a place practitioners want to be.

Technical content and demos

  • Support technical content production across blog posts, tutorials, video walkthroughs, and demos, both creating your own and collaborating with our engineering and marketing teams.
  • Own updates to our docs and example repos, keeping them accurate, current, and genuinely useful as the product evolves.
  • Build example repos and code demos quickly using agentic workflows, with those workflows built into the examples themselves so users can see how Signadot fits into agent-driven development.
  • Represent Signadot at meetups, KCDs, webinars, livestreams, and conferences as our presence grows.

Feedback loop and strategy

  • Create a structured feedback loop between external communities, our community, and our engineering and marketing teams to inform content and product strategy.
  • Surface recurring questions, objections, misconceptions, and feature requests in a form the team can act on.
  • Track and report on what you do: community engagement, content performance, mentions, and the organic discoverability signals that show the function is working.

What You'll Bring

  • An established community presence. You are already an active, recognized contributor in the software engineering community (ideally Kubernetes/Cloud-Native or adjacent). We should be able to find your footprint before we ever talk to you.
  • Deep Kubernetes and cloud-native fluency. You know the development patterns, the ecosystem, and the pain points firsthand. You have built in this environment, done DevRel for a similar devtool in this space, or both.
  • Agent-native workflows. You are a power user of coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) and can spin up example repos and demos quickly with agentic workflows built in. This is how we work, and it is central to our product story.
  • A strong technical content portfolio. Published written content and video walkthroughs or demos that show you can teach complex technical topics clearly, in your own voice.
  • A strong GitHub. Public code demos and examples using relevant cloud-native tools that show you actually build, not just talk about building.
  • Developer empathy and authenticity. You engage because you like helping developers, and communities can tell. You know the difference between contribution and promotion.
  • Self-direction. You can take a goal, define the plan, execute it, and report on it without heavy oversight. You will be establishing this function, not inheriting one.
  • Strong communication. You write well, you are comfortable on camera, and you can represent Signadot credibly in front of skeptical technical audiences.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at an early-stage, high-growth startup.
  • Hands-on experience with our most-used core integrations, such as Kafka, Temporal, or Istio.
  • Experience speaking at meetups or conferences in the cloud-native space.
  • CNCF ecosystem involvement, such as open source contributions, SIG participation, or CNCF ambassador-type roles.
  • Familiarity with measuring DevRel and community impact, including organic and AI-driven discoverability.

How to Apply

Along with your resume, send us:

  1. Links to your community presence: the handles, servers, or forums where we can see you contributing.
  2. Two or three pieces of technical content you are proud of, ideally one written and one video.
  3. A GitHub repo you built (or largely built) that best represents how you work, and a few sentences on how you used agentic tooling to build it.
