Position Summary

We are looking for a highly technical Compliance Engineer to join our engineering team in Prishtina. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining software engineering, security, infrastructure, and compliance to build systems that are both secure and audit-ready.

Rather than focusing solely on documentation, you will design and automate security and compliance controls, support SOC 2 and ISO 27001 initiatives, strengthen data privacy practices, and work closely with engineering teams to ensure compliance is embedded into our development processes.

You'll help ensure that Sent's platform meets the expectations of enterprise customers while enabling engineers to ship quickly and securely.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and maintain compliance initiatives including SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, and related security frameworks.

• Design and automate security and compliance controls across infrastructure and engineering workflows.

• Develop automated evidence collection processes and compliance monitoring tools.

• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement secure development practices and improve security posture.

• Review infrastructure, deployment pipelines, and application architecture from a compliance and security perspective.

• Support internal and external audits by coordinating evidence, documentation, and technical responses.

• Maintain security policies, procedures, and risk assessments aligned with business operations.

• Manage vendor and third-party compliance reviews, including security assessments and documentation.

• Assist with incident response processes, security reviews, and continuous compliance improvements.

• Promote a culture of security, privacy, and compliance throughout the organization.

  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• 3+ years of experience in Compliance Engineering, Security Engineering, DevSecOps, Cloud Security, or a related technical role.

• Experience working with SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, or similar compliance frameworks.

• Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, GitOps, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code.

• Experience automating security or compliance controls using scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash.

• Familiarity with Linux systems, networking, identity and access management, secrets management, and security best practices.

• Understanding of modern software development processes and secure SDLC principles.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal English communication skills (C1 or C2 proficiency required).

• Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and leadership teams.

• Experience with SaaS platforms, messaging infrastructure, or cloud-native environments is considered a strong advantage..
