Position Summary:
We are looking for a Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day upkeep, troubleshooting, and repair of process and utility equipment at our East Texas Lithium One facility. Our Maintenance Technician will perform routine and preventive maintenance, respond to equipment breakdowns, and support plant reliability initiatives in accordance with manufacturer specifications, engineering drawings, and standard operating procedures. All maintenance work will be performed in a manner that is efficient, safe, and meets quality standards. This person must be able to work in all areas of the plant, respond to changing priorities, and work with minimum supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine preventive and predictive maintenance on plant mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment.
· Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, conveyors, blowers, compressors, and other rotating and fixed equipment.
· Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and unplanned downtime events, diagnosing root cause and implementing timely repairs.
· Perform basic electrical troubleshooting, including motor starters, control circuits, and instrumentation loops.
· Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, P&IDs, schematics, and equipment manuals to guide maintenance activities.
· Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance records, including parts used, time spent, and equipment condition.
· Assist in identifying and implementing cost reduction ideas to reduce plant maintenance expenditures.
· Support calibration, lubrication, and inspection programs across the facility.
· Inspect and replace worn or defective parts using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
· Support start-up, shutdown, and change-out activities for process and utility equipment.
· Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, including routine and non-routine housekeeping duties.
· Research and requisition parts and materials needed for repairs and maintenance activities.
· Participate in and support the continuous improvement of the plant's reliability and maintenance programs.
· Follow all lockout/tagout, confined space, and other safety procedures during maintenance activities.
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 3-5 years industrial maintenance experience, preferably in a chemical processing, water treatment, mining, or manufacturing environment.
· Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and basic instrumentation systems.
· Experience troubleshooting and repairing pumps, motors, valves, and other rotating and process equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematic drawings, P&IDs, and equipment manuals to determine work procedures.
· Experience using industrial hand tools and power tools.
· Basic understanding of lubrication practices and preventive maintenance principles.
· Strong attention to detail with solid mathematical and problem-solving skills.
· Troubleshooting skills, with the ability to follow a problem to its source and resolve it.
· Basic understanding of equipment rigging for lifting and positioning equipment.
· The use of the following software could be required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook), Skype, Visio, Adobe (PDF), Share Point, SAP, Microsoft Project.
· Must be able to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively across shifts.
· Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional off-hours response to equipment emergencies.
