About Mariana Minerals
Mariana Minerals is a software-first, vertically integrated minerals company on a mission to supply the critical minerals powering modern energy, AI, and defense technologies. We're reimagining the minerals supply chain by combining deep industry expertise with advanced software, automation, and data-driven decision-making.
Our culture is built on three principles:
Extreme Ownership – We take full responsibility for outcomes, relentlessly driving toward solutions.
Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate – We simplify, optimize, and then automate for scale.
Share Your Legos – We collaborate openly, share knowledge, and empower each other to build bigger, better solutions.
Join us as we build the future of responsible mineral sourcing and supply.
What to Expect
As a Construction Project Manager at Mariana Minerals, you will play a critical role in new facility buildout, capacity upgrades, and infrastructure delivery for one of the most ambitious companies in the critical minerals sector. You will manage general contractors and subcontractors across multiple trades to install pilot plants and collaborate cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and production as facilities transition to full operations. Working from both the field and the office, you will own budgets and schedules end-to-end — and help us build the software-driven project systems that make future builds faster and smarter.
What You'll Do
Project Ownership & Delivery
Take full ownership of assigned projects — ensuring stakeholder satisfaction, identifying opportunities, and driving cost savings across all phases.
Manage project delivery from scope definition and contractor procurement through construction execution, commissioning, and close-out.
Complete project startup procedures including projections, budgeting, and job cost entry for materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
Prepare major purchase orders following appropriate pricing and scope evaluations.
Manage all work in accordance with Mariana Minerals specifications, procedures, and policies.
Procurement & Commercial Management
Evaluate bidding, material buyouts, and negotiating opportunities for potential and assigned projects.
Review project plans, P&IDs, single-line diagrams, and loop diagrams to account for all material and hardware requirements.
Identify and manage change orders, claims, and variations — negotiate commercial outcomes in the company's best interests.
Prepare monthly project reports for leadership covering cost, schedule, risk, and quality status.
Contractor & Stakeholder Management
Maintain effective communication with Mariana Minerals personnel across QC, QA, CX, Facilities, and Operations.
Manage general contractors and subcontractors of various trades; hold teams accountable to KPIs throughout execution.
Coordinate cross-functionally with construction engineering, design, facilities, commissioning, and manufacturing teams.
Engage regulatory bodies, communities, and permitting authorities as required.
Systems & Automation
Support the Software Engineering teams in developing operating systems and tools to automate project management processes — consistent with our Engineer Out Requirements, then Automate principle.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and mentor junior project team members.
Health, Safety & Environment
Champion a zero-harm safety culture — lead safety reviews, HAZIDs, and toolbox talks across all project activities.
Ensure all construction work complies with site safety management plans, legislative requirements, and Mariana Minerals HSE standards.
Drive environmental compliance during construction including dust, water management, and waste controls.
What You'll Bring
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience.
8+ years of progressive construction project management experience in the industrial, mining, or processing plant sectors
Demonstrated track record delivering capital projects of $20M+ on schedule and within budget.
Proficiency with Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Suite, accounting software, and estimating tools — or demonstrable ability to learn quickly.
Ability to read and interpret all contract documents, plans, P&IDs, specifications, and technical requirements.
Strong knowledge of trade terms, materials, methods, codes, contract language, bidding methods, NEC, electrical engineering fundamentals, purchasing processes, and accounting concepts.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective reasoning and judgment in fast-moving, site-based environments.
Availability to travel up to 50% to project sites or Mariana Minerals offices.
Experience with EPC/EPCM project delivery models.
WHY JOIN US?
At Mariana Minerals, you’ll be part of a mission-driven team reshaping the way critical minerals are sourced and supplied globally. You’ll have the autonomy to make big decisions, the tools to innovate, and a culture that values ownership, smart automation, and collaboration.
