About Hubble

Hubble builds AI-native infrastructure for medical record retrieval. Health systems, legal teams, life sciences companies, and insurers all need patient records out of EHRs and other systems of record. Today that process is manual, slow, and runs through fax machines and phone calls. We're automating it end to end: connecting directly into EHRs where we can, and building AI agents (voice, browser, and otherwise) that do the retrieval work where we can't.

We have raised $2.8M from funds YC, Basis Set, Madrona, Founders Co-Op, Zeno and strategic angels who are leaders at Grow Therapy, Elise AI, Scale AI & Perplexity. We are projecting seven figures in revenue in year one.

We're small, early, and moving fast. This is a founding engineering seat, high agency and high visibility work to fundamentally change how healthcare operates.

The role

We're looking for our first backend-leaning founding engineer. You'll own core systems: EHR connectors, our retrieval/orchestration pipeline, the agents that call and fax clinics and pull records, and the infrastructure all of it runs on. You'll work directly with the founders, ship to production constantly, and make real architectural calls.

This is a high-agency role. We're looking for someone who can take a rough problem and figure out the right approach, then build it.

What you'll do

  • Design and build the backend systems that power patient record retrieval: EHR/API integrations, data pipelines, and the orchestration layer connecting our AI agents to real-world systems (fax, phone, portals)
  • Make foundational architecture decisions (data model, infra, auth, compliance posture) that the company will run on for years
  • Ship directly to production and work with real customers (health systems, law firms, insurers) with fast feedback loops
  • Work close to compliance-sensitive infrastructure (PHI, HIPAA, TEFCA) and build with that rigor from day one
  • Move across the stack when needed. This is a small team and the work doesn't respect job titles

What we're looking for

  • Strong backend engineering fundamentals. You've built and shipped production systems, ideally including integrations with external/third-party APIs
  • High agency: you've either founded something, been an early engineer somewhere, or otherwise have a track record of owning ambiguous problems without a lot of oversight
  • Comfortable with healthcare/compliance constraints, or excited to learn them quickly (HIPAA, PHI handling)
  • Based in Seattle or willing to relocate. We work in person
  • Bonus: experience with EHR systems, healthcare data standards (FHIR, HL7), or AI agent/automation systems

Why Hubble

  • Ground-floor equity and title: this is a founding role
  • Work directly with founders on a problem with a massive, underserved market
  • High-leverage, high-visibility work. What you build will be the company's core infrastructure

The Team

  • Aaron and Prabha have known each other for over a decade, this is our second time working on a venture together (first one was a women empowerment nonprofit in college). We’re both dog owners and love exploring the food scene in Seattle.
  • Aaron was the tech lead launching Amazon One Medicals first AI agents. I enjoy playing chess and traveling.
  • Prabha was the first PM at Grow Therapy scaling it to $3B valuation. I enjoy walking my dog, doing wheel pottery, and doing Indian classical dancing.

About Hubble

Hubble retrieves complete medical records on behalf of patients using patient-mediated access. Under a patient's HIPAA right of access, they authorize us once and we pull their full history from every provider they've seen (hospitals, clinics, labs, imaging centers), no per-provider integration or IT project required. Getting records today still runs on faxes, patient portals, and release-of-information queues, so teams that need medical data wait weeks and get back a pile of unstructured PDFs. Hubble handles the retrieval end to end and returns clean, structured records, turning what used to take weeks into days. We work with teams that live or die on getting patient records fast: legal (personal injury, mass tort, disability), life sciences and research, and anyone building products that need a patient's real medical history to work. Instead of standing up records infrastructure themselves, they use Hubble as the retrieval layer. We're the team behind the AI agents at Grow Therapy and Amazon's One Medical used by millions of patients (Prabha was Grow's first PM building their AI agents, Aaron built the AI infra serving 1M+ clients).
