Job Description

About Hark

Hark is an artificial intelligence company building advanced, personalized intelligence. One that is proactive, multimodal, and capable of interacting with the world through speech, text, vision, and persistent memory.

We're pairing that intelligence with next-generation hardware to create a universal interface between humans and machines. While today's AI largely operates through chat boxes and decade-old devices, Hark is focused on what comes next: agentic systems that interact naturally with people and the real world.

To get there, we're developing multimodal models and next-generation AI hardware together - designed from the ground up as a single, unified interface for a new era of intelligent systems.

About the Role

We are looking for an exceptional Electronics Strategic Supply Chain Manager to own the  sourcing strategy, commercial execution, and supply readiness for critical electronics used  in next-generation AI hardware. This role is designed for a hands-on, high-ownership GSM  with experience in high-volume electronics environments, including PCBA, EMS / contract  manufacturing, semiconductor and passive components, RF / connectivity modules, flex  circuits, and other board-level or module-level technologies.

This is a build-and-scale role, not a maintenance role. You will define the electronics  supply base, lead strategic sourcing decisions, negotiate commercial agreements, drive  cost and capacity outcomes, and ensure suppliers can support aggressive NPI and mass production ramps. You will partner closely with EE, ME, PD, firmware, quality, operations,  finance, legal, and manufacturing partners to move technologies from concept and  prototype through New Product Introduction and sustained production.

The ideal candidate has strong electronics commodity depth, sharp commercial judgment,  technical fluency, and the operating intensity required to solve difficult allocation, lead time, quality, cost, and ramp problems. You must be able to work with incomplete  information, create structure in ambiguity, push suppliers for data-backed commitments,  and drive internal alignment quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Own strategic sourcing strategy and supplier relationship management for  electronics commodities, including PCB Assembly, EMS / Contract Manufacture  services, semiconductors, RF / connectivity, flex circuits, connectors, and other  critical EE components.
  • Lead end-to-end RFQ, supplier selection, sourcing award, cost negotiation,  contract execution, NDA, supply agreement, MSA, SOW, NRE, tooling, CapEx, and  Terms & Conditions activities for electronics suppliers and manufacturing partners.
  • Drive PCB Assembly and EMS commercial readiness, including BOM cost  management, SMT / test cost breakdown, yield assumptions, equipment and fixture  amortization, capacity plans, line readiness, Clear-to-build (CTB) visibility, and  production ramp support.
  • Manage electronics allocation and long-lead risk across NPI and production,  including wafer capacity, semiconductor lead times, NCNR exposure, risk buys,  EOL / LTB plans, buffer strategy, supplier commits, and escalation paths.
  • Negotiate piece price, payment terms, liability coverage, warranty, quality  obligations, IP / confidentiality protections, capacity reservations, pull-in / push-out  terms, cancellation rights, and long-lead material exposure.
  • Support aggressive NPI builds and mass-production ramps by ensuring material  readiness, PO placement, capacity confirmation, supplier ramp plans, risk  reporting, and clear ownership across engineering, operations, quality, finance,  legal, and manufacturing partners.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in strategic supply management, strategic sourcing,  commodity management, or supply-chain program management for high-volume  electronics; strong candidates with 7+ years and deep PCBA / EMS ownership will  also be considered.
  • Direct experience managing electronics commodities such as PCBA, EMS / CM,  semiconductors, memory, RF, modules, flex circuits, connectors, passives, or  other board-level / module-level technologies across NPI and sustained  production.
  • Proven track record negotiating complex commercial agreements covering price,  NRE, tooling, CapEx, capacity, lead time, payment terms, liability, warranty, and  long-term supply commitments — with measurable cost and supply outcomes.
  • Ability to read and challenge supplier cost breakdowns across PCBA and EMS  structures, including SMT, test, fixtures, labor, yield, scrap, overhead, and  amortization; experience building should-cost models to support fact-based  negotiation.
  • High urgency, high accountability, and strong project-management discipline; able  to drive alignment across engineering, operations, finance, legal, quality, suppliers,  and manufacturing partners while managing multiple priorities in parallel.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $120,000 - $300,000 annually.
