Who we are

Formance is building the next generation of financial infrastructure. Our platform gives fintechs, banks, and digital platforms the tools to build and tracks money movements with full transparency and control.

Starting with an Open Source Ledger (i.e. a database for financial transactions), we’re building a comprehensive suite of modern financial backend modules, including native and automated reconciliation, workflow engines, and connectors with various financial services providers - e.g. Stripe, Adyen, Modulr, Wise, Atlar. This unique approach has made us the trusted financial backend for leading SaaS companies and financial institutions like Booksy, Doctolib, and Liberis, along with many others worldwide. Our success stems from the trust in our open-source foundation, the high level of programmability of our solutions, and our software-first approach, moving beyond traditional payment business models.

We’ve recently launched our New York office to accelerate our expansion into the U.S. market. The U.S. is a strategic priority for Formance — home to a mature fintech ecosystem, sophisticated financial institutions, and platforms operating at global scale. To support this growth, our revenue team already includes 7 people across BDR, AE, and Pre-Sales roles.

We’re now looking for a Senior AE to help our commercial efforts in the United States. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who thrives in early-stage environments and enjoys being directly involved in the field with customers.

We're a team of 30, growing to 40+ soon. To support this growth, our revenue team already includes 7 people across BDR, AE, and Pre-Sales roles.

What you’ll do

As a key member of our growth team, you won’t just be following a script; you will be one of the architects of our expansion into the most innovative financial sectors.

  • Execute our go-to-market strategy specifically for the Fintech and Crypto industry.
  • Identify and secure lighthouse deals with pioneers in new markets, establishing our solution as the gold standard for financial infrastructure.
    Manage the full sales cycle from first meetings to final signature, engaging directly with Engineering and Product leadership (CTOs, VPs of Product).
  • Sell into fast-evolving, highly regulated environments, working with customers building category-defining financial products.
  • Consistently secure deals by translating complex technical features into clear business ROI for decision-makers.
  • Maximize our Attio CRM to track your pipeline with precision and provide actionable insights to the product team.

Who you are

  • 6+ years of relevant tech sales experience, ideally in fintech, banking, payments, or crypto.
  • Proven track record in the U.S. market, closing mid-market or enterprise deals.
  • Deep understanding of U.S. financial buyers, procurement, compliance constraints, and enterprise dynamics.
  • Familiarity with U.S. sales methodologies: MEDDIC/MEDDPICC, pipeline hygiene, forecasting rigor.
  • Ability to identify and target the right ICPs and buyer personas.
  • Ability to test, iterate, and adapt quickly in a fast-evolving market.
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, resource-constrained, builder environment.

Package

$150,000 - $300,000 a year
