A bit about this role:
The Enterprise Engineering team is looking for a Principal Engineer to lead the design and delivery of key systems within our enterprise software platform. In this role, you'll help power Devoted employees with a seamless, integrated experience — primarily by building within Orinoco, Devoted's proprietary technology platform, and owning major initiatives end to end.
Responsibilities include:
Design and deliver enterprise capabilities and user-facing workflows within Orinoco to streamline operations and core business processes
Extend Orinoco's platform capabilities to support new enterprise use cases
Reduce operating costs by bringing key services in-house when it makes sense
Architect a robust system of integrations between corporate and production environments, with clear source-of-truth data ownership
Improve internal compliance procedures, including logging, auditing, permission controls, and tracking access to external systems
Securely share enterprise data — such as licensing, permissions, and user attributes — with Orinoco
Enable efficient access to internal and external data sources, including third-party APIs
Partner closely with HR, Business Systems, Finance, CorpIT, Security, and Tech to design and deliver end-to-end solutions
Deliver clear, actionable reporting on enterprise metrics like request volume, escalations, and workload trends
Lead the rollout of new platforms, automations, and technologies that help Devoted scale effectively
Automate manual workflows related to employee onboarding and offboarding, reducing administrative burden and ensuring smooth, secure transitions
Required experience:5+ years' experience as a software engineer
Experience designing scalable, usable platforms that serve multiple teams
Experience with Platform-as-a-Service applications and integrating them with cloud software
Experience contributing to a technically-forward organization while staying compliant
Designing and publishing APIs
Salary range: $131,000-201,000 base annually
The pay range listed for this position is the range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at the time of the posting. Once the interview process begins, your talent partner will provide additional information on the compensation for the role, along with additional information on our total rewards package. The actual base salary offered will depend on a variety of factors, including the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
