What you will be doing:

  • Strategic
    • Continued enhancement of BCM tools
    • Evolving BCM training and exercises
    • Support the strategic development of CLS’s BCM program
    • Support the development and enhancement of BAU activities
  • Operational:
    • Liaise and work with all BCM stakeholders – be a ‘go-to’ person.
    • Ownership of the on-going planning, preparedness, and maintenance of the CLS pandemic plan.
    • Act as dedicated risk subject matter expert for Enterprise Continuity, Crisis Management and Operational Resilience regarding Third Party Risk Management. This includes providing support to TPM team and Procurement team with all elements of the TPM lifecycle. The lifecycle includes but is not limited to: Cat A-B and High Inherent Risk Rated risk assessments, support during exit plan, exit strategy and BCP testing, attending vendor onsite assessment when required, reviewing Master Service Agreements and ensure they meet Resilience standards and any ad hoc support.
    • Support the development and implementation of all revised BCM process and procedures.
    • Management and maintenance of BCM SharePoint site / documentation
    • Ownership for all aspects of BCM training and awareness with CLS globally. This includes annual mandatory training and providing support to new joiners.
    • Perform country risk assessments and provide horizon scanning updates to CLS employees.
    • Employee business travel support.
    • Ownership of the management, identification, and mitigation of BCM risks, working alongside risk to ensure controls, issues, incidents, emerging risks and KRI’s are logged correctly in Archer.
    • Development and implementation of CLS Critical Internal Services (Identification of CIS, Setting of CIS impact tolerances, Mapping of CIS, Design and deliver scenario testing, Identification and remediation of CIS vulnerabilities and CIS reporting).
    • Support with the key BCM program stakeholders, to ensure that key mandatory, audit, and regulatory requirements are met and completed to agreed timelines.
    • Provide cover for other team members.
    • BC plan analysis, maintenance, development, support and training.
    • Crisis Management support where required.

What we’re looking for:

The candidate shall have the following experience:


  • Experience delivering industry leading Business Continuity within the context of cutting edge GSIB and FMI practices and customer expectations.
  • Experience in the design and delivery of business continuity scenario testing and associated vulnerability identification and remediation
  • Experience of Third Party Resilience program delivery
  • Experience across technology, third party, facilities and people risk analysis and mitigation.
  • Experience of Operational Resilience implementation.
  • Experienced in business process mapping and using these capabilities to produce MI.
  • Experience influencing stakeholders across the business, up to C-suite.
  • Experience analyzing and delivering enterprise change
  • Experience managing enterprise level strategic continuity planning including Cyber, Resolution, Pandemic, Change
  • A history of Operational Risk analysis, specifically in the Resilience domain.
  • Good understanding of FX products and services with knowledge of the required infrastructure and dependencies.
  • Experience in the delivery of projects providing solutions across the breadth of a company’s operations; business process, technology solutions, cyber remediation, third party risk etc.

Professional qualifications / certifications

Recognized qualifications in the following areas will be beneficial:

  • Financial regulation
  • Resilience / BCM
  • Operational / Enterprise Risk Management
  • Project Management (e.g Prince / PMI / APM)
  • Cyber Management (e.g. CISM)
