Job Information:

  • Functional Title: Infrastructure End User Support Specialist
  • Department: Digital Workspace
  • Corporate Level: Senior Associate
  • Reports To: Vice President, Infrastructure End User Support
  • Location: London, on-site 2 days per week

A Senior Associate role for an Infrastructure End User Support Specialist who can lead escalations, mentor colleagues, support modern endpoint management, and help launch our new Technology Bar.

Overview of the role:

CLS is modernizing the way technology is delivered to colleagues. We are moving further into a Windows 11 and Microsoft Intune managed estate, reducing reliance on legacy endpoint tooling, and opening a new Technology Bar in our refurbished London office. We are looking for a highly experienced Senior Desktop Support Engineer to become the senior technical member of our London End User Computing team. This is more than a traditional desktop role: you will be the person the team turns to for complex escalations, practical judgement, coaching, technical standards and service improvement. The role combines hands-on support, endpoint engineering, technical leadership, hardware service capability and project contribution. It is ideal for someone who wants to influence how an End User Computing function operates rather than simply work through a ticket queue.

What you will be doing:

How you will spend your time

  • Desktop Support - 45% - Senior escalations point for Windows 11, Microsoft 365 collaboration technologies, meeting rooms, executive support and complex incidents.
  • Endpoint Engineering - 25% - Intune, Autopilot, application development, endpoint compliance, hardware standards and device lifecycle management.
  • Technology Leadership - 20% - Mentoring engineers, leading investigations, improving documentation, setting standards and acting as the senior technical voice of the team.
  • Continuous improvements & innovation - 10% - Technology Bar development, automation of processes, Windows 11 rollout support, process optimization and measurable service improvements.

What we are looking for:

We are not looking for someone who only resolves individual tickets. We are looking for someone who asks why the issue happened, whether it will happen again, how the team can prevent it, and what can be improved so the next user has a better experience.

Key Technologies include:

  • Windows 11
  • Microsoft Intune / Windows Autopilot
  • Hardware vendor warranty tooling
  • Microsoft Entra ID
  • Microsoft 365
  • Exchange Online
  • Microsoft Teams
  • OneDrive
  • Endpoint Security
  • Active Directory
  • ServiceNow
  • PowerShell

Secondary / legacy technologies

  • SCCM - Supporting the transition to Intune
  • Citrix - Supporting the virtualized environment
  • Group Policy - Hybrid estate support

Our commitment to employees:

At CLS, we celebrate inclusion and consider this to be one of our strongest assets. We are committed to fostering an environment in which everyone feels comfortable to be who they are, and inclusion is valued. All employees have access to our inclusive benefits, including:

  • Holiday - UK/Asia: 25 holiday days and 3 ‘life days’ (in addition to bank holidays). US: 23 holiday days.
  • 2 paid volunteer days so that you can actively support causes within your community that are important to you.
  • Generous parental leave policies to ensure you can enjoy valuable time with your family.
  • Parental transition coaching programmes and support services.
  • Wellbeing and mental health support resources to ensure you are looking after yourself, and able to support others.
  • Employee Networks (including our Women’s Forum, Black Employee Network and Pride Network) in support of our organisational commitment to embrace and always be learning more about inclusivity.
  • Hybrid working to promote a healthy work/life balance, enabling employees to work collaboratively in the office when needed and work from home when they don’t.
  • Active support of flexible working for all employees where possible.
  • Monthly ‘Heads Down Days’ with no meetings across the whole company.
  • Generous non-contributory pension provision for UK/Asia employees, and 401K match from CLS for US employees.
  • Private medical insurance and dental coverage.
  • Social events that give you opportunities to meet new people and broaden your network across the organisation.
  • Annual flu vaccinations.
  • Discounts and savings and cashback across a wide range of categories including health and retail for UK employees.
  • Discounted Gym membership – Complete Body Gym Discount/Sweat equity program for US employees.
  • All employees have access to Discover – our comprehensive learning platform with 1000+ courses from LinkedIn Learning.
  • Access to frequent development sessions on a number of topics to help you be successful and develop your career at CLS.
