Job information:

  • Corporate level – Executive Director
  • Report to – CISO US Services, Information Cyber Security
  • Location - Iselin NJ or London, onsite 2 days per week.

  

What we’re looking for:

  • The Head of our Cybersecurity Operations team will establish and drive the strategic vision and overarching framework of the team. This will be in line with the evolving cyber threat landscape and the risks posed to delivering our FX settlement services to the market. Lead a cross-functional department dedicated to proactive threat detection, rapid incident response, and advanced forensic capabilities.
  • Responsible for leading the Firm’s Cyber Incident Response capabilities and guiding the development/ enhancement of all applicable cybersecurity controls.
  • Responsible for leading the Firm’s Information Security Incident Response program and guiding the development/ enhancement of applicable data loss prevention (DLP) and User and Entity Behavior Analytic (UEBA) rules and policies.
  • Responsible for leading the Firm’s Purple Team program integrating offensive cyber activities with cyber control enhancements to improve our overall security posture.
  • Responsible for leading the Detective Controls and Engineering function. Guiding development and enhancement of bespoke rule creation for threats highlighted by the proactive defense team, across a variety of security tooling.
  • Responsible for talent management, career management, and training and certification of CLS Security Operations personnel and supporting consultants.
  • Oversee vendor relationships and service provide performance. Direct third-party security integrations, including reviewing and monitoring access controls.
  • Engage with governance bodies and stakeholders, supporting forums, and ensure effective communication and reporting.
  • Develop executive reporting on security posture, threat detection and incident response, and provide high-level metrics and reporting on performance and issues addressed by the department.

  • Customer focus: Liaise extensively with broader IT Security team leads and other critical technology and business teams and stakeholders to ensure the team is aligned in integrated threat detection, coordinated incident response, and continuous improvement of CLS's operational security posture.
  • Understand, interpret and apply regulatory requirements, compliance and industry standards as pertains to Cyber Operations.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, intelligence or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
  • 15+ years’ experience in cybersecurity / SOC positions, ideally within other entities within the CLS ecosystem of financial institutions, central banks, regulators and other FMIs.
  • 10+ years in cybersecurity/ SOC leadership positions.
  • Experience in:
    • Working in highly regulated operations and complex organizational structures.
    • Reporting to senior leadership supporting executive level decision-making and prioritization.
    • Engaging in complex governance, contributing to multi-layered committees or forums.
  • Comprehensive hands-on experience with SIEM/ SOAR platforms, cloud security principles, endpoint security tools, malware analysis and digital forensics and incident response.
  • CISSP, CISM, GIAC, or CEH are highly desirable.
  • A proven technologist with strong technical and cyber understanding, appreciation of modern systems architecture and associated security requirements.
  • Detailed understanding of managing and providing oversight of critical vendors and the services they deliver.
  • Exemplary reputation as a respected and trusted executive leader in cybersecurity.
