Founding Storyteller

What you'll actually do

• Make videos. Lots of them. You're someone who can convey compelling stories in a 60s clip, or turn a 6hr long event into a compelling aftermovie. You think in hooks, beats, and performance but also care deeply about the craft and taste.
• You'll run our content engine across channels. You'll ship brand sizzles, vlogs, aftermovies, launch videos, testimonials, founder's stories, tutorials, milestones, and much more. You'll also curate a gallery of videos showcasing the best work shipped on Cardboard.
• When we don't have some in-house capability/resources, you know which freelancer / agency to call for what and will do so immediately without hesitation. You're resourceful with high agency.
• You're responsible for telling the world about Cardboard. You'll partner with the growth team to track every channel, ensuring the narrative and voice is consistent. You'd be reviewing work from influencers, agencies, writers, and editors to ensure everything is on brand.
• Not only that but beyond content, you'll shape the product itself. You'll spend more time inside Cardboard than anyone outside the engineering team. What works, what breaks, what's missing, what people make that surprises us — those are some of the most valuable signals we have, and you'll help us increase both the volume and the quality of them.

Who you are

• You already create content, on your own, without anyone asking. We'll look at what you've made before we look at your resume.
• You have taste. You are situationally aware because you are terminally online. You can write, shoot, and edit all kinds of videos.
• You can own a content calendar with multiple channels, contractors, and campaigns running at once, without anyone telling you what to post next.
• You're obsessed with speed. You'd rather post 5 things this week than agonize over 1.
• We're building the tool we wished we had. You should also feel that.
