Role Description
Capitolis is looking for an Associate, People & Culture to join our rapidly growing team. This role is the heart of the office overseeing initiatives core to employee experience including community (event planning, volunteer programs, etc.) and benefits administration. This role also serves as the office manager ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly with visitor management and stocked supplies/snacks. The goal of this role is to make the New York office an excellent place to work.
The right candidate will be hardworking, conscientious, and eager to learn and grow in the People & Culture space. The Associate, People & Culture will report to the VP, People & Culture and will be located in our New York City HQ, one block from Grand Central on Bryant Park. This role is 5-days a week in-office.
Responsibilities
- Manage office operations while driving People & Culture initiatives, ensuring a seamless and engaging environment for all employees.
- Plan events and other programs to enable employees to develop meaningful connections in and out of the office
- Understand and educate employees on our benefits programs
- Maintain high standards and proactively solve problems across the office
- Anticipate needs and employ a personalized touch so employees are cared for authentically
- Identify opportunities to improve the employee experience and delight employees
- Ensure employees have a smooth experience by supplying food, beverages, and other supplies as needed
- Manage expenses effectively, ensuring alignment with the allocated budget
- Operate as a team player, providing support wherever needed, particularly with coordination tasks
- Over time, grow to take on one or more strategic team initiatives (e.g., revamping onboarding)

Requirements
- 0-2 years of experience, with a passion for People & Culture
- Highly organized executor with ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize in a dynamic environment
- Desire to facilitate beautiful experiences for employees and exhibit deep care
- Strong EQ and situational awareness/wisdom
- Maintains a high standard in identifying problems and proactively solving them
- Goal oriented and able to apply principles to decision-making
- Professional poise to represent Capitolis when welcoming visitors and clients

The target annual base salary range for this position is $70,000 – $75,000 and is dependent on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skills. In addition to base salary, the compensation package for this role includes an annual discretionary bonus and company equity. This role is also eligible to participate in company-sponsored benefits and perks.
