As a Quick Response Team Engineer within Module Production Support, you will work at the heart of our production process, solving issues on the spot and contributing directly to some of the most advanced technology in the world.

Role and responsibilities

As a Quick Response Team engineer at Module Production Support you will be responsible for providing containments/quick solutions for operational and technical disturbances to secure delivery performance of our modules for ASML’s advanced lithography system modules. Module Production scope includes the mechanical build and qualification of all modules required to build a Twinscan system.


You will be working in a 2-shift roster with once every 4 weeks a working weekend. There will be a fixed compensation day (‘jump day’) during the week and a shift schedule allowance. For escalations we expect you to travel to the customer’s site when the situation asks for it. If production requires it we can request you to do overtime or call out.


As a MP Quick Response Team Support engineer you are:

  • Remove operational disturbances: You will be working closely to a production line within the factory. At this production you act as first line support to the production operators, removing any disturbance in their way preventing them from doing their assigned production work

  • Trouble Shoot: First Line Support to trouble shoot issues in the production within our factory to secure progress.

  • Setup Containments: implement ad hoc containments to limit the impact for the next production shifts

  • Have and act with a Solve & Prevent mindset: point out structural problems to be solved structurally or to have a countermeasure defined and implemented.

  • Support: support the Natural Team to improve the workcenter’s performance on Quality and Delivery.

  • Execute Escalation management process: lead technical escalations in line with the Escalation Management process, securing the right stakeholders are involved to get the disturbance solved.

  • Have a Quality & Problem Solving mindset: monitor the quality and timing of problems and their implementation, including technical realization; actively identify and contribute to initiatives improving the efficiency and quality of the Escalation Management process.

  • Transfer knowledge: actively seek and transfer knowledge within the factory to increase solving power of the Execution and QRT teams.

  • Collaborate: work closely together with other support departments to secure effective problem analysis and continuity;

  • Continuously improving the business: take the lead by executing plans, undertake the right actions on time; At times when there is no escalation, be proactive in identifying and implementing process and/or technical improvements.

  • Creative: focus on finding more solutions to one problem, and perceive the problem in multiple ways; Also think of ways on how to prevent the issue, solve the issue faster or how to ensure solving parties closer to production can solve the issue themselves.

  • Multitask: even when multiple tasks are executed at the same time you deliver work with quality and respect delivery deadlines.

  • Work in a cleanroom environment: 90% of your working time will be in the cleanroom, close to production line you are assigned to.

  • Collaborating in a LEAN environment: Besides being part of your hierarchical team within the Production Support department you will collaborate with a natural team on the production line you are assigned to


Education and experience

To help us tackle the technical challenges we face, you’ll need at least:

  • A technical bachelor’s or vocational (MBO4) degree with relevant work experience in the direction of: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Automotive, Aerospace; or any equivalent

  • Preferably 2+ years of hands-on experience in a technical production environment;

  • Experience with troubleshooting: analyzing problems, finding root-cause and determining solution;

  • Knowledge of quality improvement methods;

  • Knowledge and experience with (technical) project management;

  • Experience in problem analysis of products and processes.

Other information

For this position, the indicative (fixed) annual salary range is between 58,500 euro and 66,000 euro. This range comprises vacation allowance and a 13th-month payment and is based on a full-time contract. Company profit sharing is not included in this range. As this is a shift-based position you will receive a shift allowance on top of the indicated salary range. The actual compensation offered will depend on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to: job-related skills, relevant education and (work) experience, certifications, demonstrated abilities of the candidate, pay relative to other team members. For this position you will be working in 2 shift roster. One week you will be working the morning shift (06.30-15.30) and the other week the evening shift (15.00-00.00) with 1 day during the work week as your free day (jump day). Once per 4 weeks you will also have the weekend shift (sat & sun) (07.00-16.00). Please be aware of this shift roster before you apply!
