Introduction to the job

At ASML, our people are at the center of innovation. As the world's leading supplier of advanced lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, we rely on effective learning, knowledge sharing, and skill development to enable operational excellence and continuous innovation.

The Wilton Factory Learning & Knowledge Management team is seeking a  Manufacturing Technical Trainer who is passionate about helping employees build the technical knowledge, practical skills, and confidence needed to perform successfully in a complex manufacturing environment.

In this role, you will deliver practical, technical instructor-led and virtual learning solutions, facilitate meaningful knowledge transfer, and help learners apply new skills on the job. You will work closely with subject matter experts, business stakeholders, learning professionals, and fellow trainers to create engaging and effective learning experiences.

ASML US, including its affiliates and subsidiaries, bring together the most creative minds in science and technology to develop lithography machines that are key to producing faster, cheaper, more energy-efficient microchips. We design, develop, integrate, market and service these advanced machines, which enable our customers - the world’s leading chipmakers - to reduce the size and increase the functionality of their microchips, which in turn leads to smaller, more powerful consumer electronics. Our headquarters are in Veldhoven, Netherlands and we have 18 office locations around the United States including main offices in Chandler, Arizona, San Jose and San Diego, California, Wilton, Connecticut, and Hillsboro, Oregon.

Role and responsibilities

As a Manufacturing Technical Trainer you will deliver training solutions that require strong subject-matter understanding, professional training capability, and the use of varied didactic and facilitation techniques. • Apply a variety of facilitation methods and didactic techniques to promote knowledge transfer, skill development, learner engagement, and practical application.
  • Help learners identify potential barriers to applying their learning on the job and explore practical ways to overcome those barriers.

Facilitate Engaging Learning Experiences

  • Prepare training sessions, activities, exercises, demonstrations, and supplemental materials.
  • Establish and manage an inclusive, engaging, productive, and learner-focused classroom environment.
  • Create or adapt job aids, reference materials, and other performance-support tools that reinforce learning after training.
  • Serve as a resource for learners during and, when applicable, after training.

Support Trainer and Facilitator Readiness

  • Onboard and prepare less-experienced trainers, co-facilitators, and subject matter experts to support consistent and effective delivery.
  • Facilitate train-the-trainer sessions, dry runs, practice sessions, and delivery-readiness reviews.
  • Communicate delivery expectations and provide practical guidance on facilitation methods, learner engagement, and use of training materials.

Contribute to Learning-Solution Development

  • Contribute to the development and improvement of learning solutions and learner experiences.
  • Collaborate with learning designers, developers, trainers, and subject matter experts to ensure that learning materials are relevant, accurate, and effective.
  • Make appropriate updates to training materials as content, processes, tools, or business needs change.
  • Participate in learner qualification or certification activities when applicable.

Evaluate and Continuously Improve Training

  • Collect and report feedback from theoretical and practical learning activities.
  • Propose improvements to training content, delivery methods, processes, and tools.
  • Help safeguard L&KM quality standards and support alignment across the broader learning organization.

Support Learning and Knowledge Management

  • Stay current with developments in the relevant technical or functional area, instructional practices, and learning-delivery methods.
  • Support the transfer and retention of knowledge needed to achieve business and workforce-development objectives.
