
Learning and Development internship: learning solutions design
Job Description
Introduction
The S&SC Academy focuses on enabling business teams through high-quality learning solutions that improve skills and performance. This internship contributes to strengthening and standardizing the Academy’s service offering while improving how learning is designed and delivered. You will help translate learning needs into structured, scalable solutions that support business impact. You will work in a collaborative environment where your ideas directly shape learning experiences for diverse users. This role offers hands-on experience in learning science within a high-tech context.
Your assignment
In this internship, you will support the development of consistent, high-quality learning services and help create engaging learning experiences for business users. You will collaborate with trainers and subject matter experts to improve ways of working and build sustainable solutions. Your main responsibilities will be:
Support the development and standardization of the learning service offering
Co-design and develop engaging learning solutions based on adult learning principles (e.g., e-learnings, classroom trainings, job aids, videos)
Create structured templates, guidelines, and reusable learning materials
Support trainer capability development with coaching materials and best practices (e.g., didactic coaching materials, train-the-trainer content)
Translate learning needs into clear, user-focused learning solutions
Document processes and maintain clear handover materials
Contribute to continuous improvement of learning approaches and deliverables
This is a bachelor’s or master’s internship (non-thesis) for a minimum of 6 months, a minimum 32 hours per week (including 3 days on-site). The start date of this internship is projected at the end of August 2026
Your profile
To be suitable for the internship, you:
Are enrolled in a bachelor’s or master’s degree in educational sciences, learning sciences, learning and development, or related study backgrounds.
Have a strong interest in instructional design and adult learning principles
Are creative and proactive in turning ideas into practical deliverables
Work in a structured and quality-driven way with attention to detail
Communicate clearly in English (C1 level) and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders
Other requirements you need to meet:
You are enrolled at an educational institute for the entire duration of the internship;
Attach your cover letter with a clear motivation why you are interested in this internship assignment in particular;
You need to be located in the Netherlands to perform your internship. In case you are currently living/studying outside of the Netherlands, your CV/motivation letter needs to include the willingness to relocate.
If you are a non-EU citizen, studying in the Netherlands, your university is willing to sign the documents relevant for doing an internship (i.e., Nuffic agreement).
