Introduction to the job


Technical Support Engineer (TSE) Provides technical equipment support to ASML field service engineers and customers by analyzing and solving complex technical equipment problems. Responsible for creating forward looking action plans, both remote and - when needed - in the customer fab to execute complex technical actions. Acts as a diagnostics expert with in-depth equipment knowledge on installed base systems and new products. Responsible for identifying and recognizing structural issues, finding workarounds to mitigate issues and driving structural issue resolution via the corresponding channels in the central organization


Role and responsibilities
•    Provide support to internal and external customers by solving escalated problems and providing information to ensure the optimum machine performance criteria are met in the field
•    Develops and implements solutions to unusual and complex technical problems escalated from field service or by customers. Escalates problems to Equipment support per ASML procedure including complete and accurate data and problem descriptions.
•    Perform data analysis of systems to resolve problems and/or to improve system performance.
•    Escalate problems to GSC and D&E in accordance with ASML escalation process including complete and accurate data and problem descriptions.
•    Perform analysis of structural issues that are identified at our customers and escalate with improvement suggestions to develop structural solutions.
•    Develop and implement solutions to unusual and complex technical problems escalated from field service or by customers


Experience
•    More than 2 years of experience in semiconductor service engineering or research


Education
•    Bachelor’s Degree or above in an Engineering discipline.
•    Experience should encompass working with and understanding issues in the lithographic semi-conductor manufacturing process
•    Experience in the knowledge of Optics, Electronics, Mechatronics, Computer science and related disciplines or equivalent experience

•    Capable of dealing with a broad range of technical subjects
•    Good at multi-tasking and hands on skills

•    Ability to work independently; self-motivated.


Scope of Role / Knowledge


Software
•    Managing and monitoring all installed computer systems and infrastructure
•    Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools
•    Ensuring the highest levels of systems and computer system infrastructure availability
•    Knowledge in Operating System (Unix / Linux) / Network Management/Software Engineering / Programing Language (C, Java, Python)
