Introduction to the job

The Asia Intercompany Settlement Team Manager is a key leadership role within ABS Finance Operations, responsible for overseeing all intercompany (ICY) settlement activities across Asia. This role ensures operational excellence, accuracy, and compliance while navigating the complexity of multi-entity, cross-border financial transactions.

The position requires a strategic mindset to drive continuous process improvement, enhance governance, and deliver actionable insights to senior stakeholders. As a people leader, the manager will build a high-performing, engaged team and foster collaboration across geographies and functions to support seamless operations and regulatory readiness.


Role and responsibilities


Strategic & Analytical Leadership

  • Lead end-to-end ICY transaction operations across Asia, ensuring alignment with regional business priorities and stakeholder expectations.
  • Provide quarterly KPI reporting, business insights, and compliance updates to senior leadership, identifying risks and recommending data-driven actions.
  • Analyze ICY vs. PFI mismatches and develop structured remediation plans to improve accuracy and reduce reconciliation gaps.
  • Drive standardization and optimization of processes across multiple entities to improve efficiency and transparency.

Process Excellence & Compliance


  • Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable and compliant ICY settlement processes across Asia.
  • Lead preparation for internal and external audits, including Tax and FX regulatory reviews, and support audit defense activities.
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of regulatory requirements, including the annual Korea ACVA report for OTP validation.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of business or operational changes and ensure processes remain compliant, controlled, and efficient.
  • Strengthen internal controls and proactively identify process risks, implementing mitigation strategies where needed.

Stakeholder & Cross-functional Engagement‑Functional Engagement

  • Serve as the primary regional point of contact for all ICY-related matters across Asia.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance, Accounting, Tax, Logistics, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment on intercompany processes.
  • Influence cross-functional decision-making to drive process improvements and enhance financial operations.
  • Build strong relationships with regional and global stakeholders to ensure effective communication and issue resolution.

People Leadership

  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team of 4 members across Korea and China.
  • Build a collaborative and inclusive team culture that values diversity and encourages knowledge sharing across regions.
  • Provide regular feedback, mentoring, and development opportunities to support individual and team growth.
  • Promote accountability, ownership, and continuous learning within the team.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 12~17 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance roles in an international business environment (people management experience strongly preferred).
  • Strong experience in intercompany accounting, settlements, or financial operations within a multinational environment.
  • Solid understanding of FX regulations and tax compliance across Asian countries.
  • +2years of leadership experience managing teams, including remote or cross-border team members.
  • CPA qualification and SAP experience is an advantage.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in reconciliation and mismatch analysis.
  • Strong communication skills across cross-functional and regional stakeholders.
  • Effective stakeholder management and influencing capabilities.
  • Ability to design and improve end-to-end processes.
  • Proven track record in driving continuous improvement initiatives.
