Who we’re looking for

As Arc's Senior CAD Designer, you will own the CAD backbone of our vessels — the models, the drawing packages, and the standards the rest of Engineering builds against. That means producing production-intent CAD for hull structures, mechanical systems, and powertrain integration; releasing drawing packages a vendor can quote without a phone call; and setting the CAD standards that keep a fast-growing team building off the same source of truth.

What You'll Do

• Creating production-intent CAD for hull and deck structures, mechanical systems, and powertrain interfaces
• Releasing fully dimensioned drawing packages to manufacturing and suppliers, applying GD&T per ASME Y14.5 and running tolerance stack-ups on critical interfaces
• Owning large assemblies and the Teamcenter/PLM structure, including setting up the eBOM configuration and assembly architecture for a clean, scalable engineering data model
• Setting Engineering's CAD standards, templates, naming conventions, and revision control
• Owning the boat-level eBOM and mass properties
• Partnering with manufacturing and supply chain on DFM to catch problems while they're still pixels
• Supporting prototype builds on the floor and fold what you learn back into the models

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
• 5+ years of mechanical design and drafting, with a track record of releasing drawings to production
• Expert in CAD (NX required), including sheet metal, weldments, Class A surfacing, and large-assembly management
• Demonstrated Teamcenter administration experience, including workflow creation, troubleshooting, and training.
• Strong command of GD&T per ASME Y14.5, with experience releasing parts to vendors across machining, fabrication, composites, or molding
• Thrives with incomplete requirements and fast-changing designs
• Communicates clearly with engineers, technicians, and suppliers

Bonus Qualifications

• Marine hardware experience preferred; automotive, aerospace, or EV also relevant 
• Background in composite structures or large weldment design
• Experience with high-voltage packaging, wire harness, or fluid routing
• Experience partnering with industrial designers to turn sketches into Class A surfaces
• Building CAD standards and PDM structure from scratch at an early-stage company
• Comfortable pushing a fast but sustainable pace
• Enthusiasm for boating and clean energy

The base salary for this role is P3:150,000  $ P4: $175,000 annually.
