Hiring Pitch

Parallel Bio is pioneering human-first drug discovery by creating the first map of human biology. Using groundbreaking biological and computational tools that track real clinical outcomes, the company generates data that enable earlier, more reliable decisions about disease biology and drug development.

Parallel Bio’s platform overcomes the core limitations of traditional animal testing, which fails to encapsulate the complexity of human biology. The company is building internal pipelines of novel disease targets and drug candidates in both cancer and autoimmune disease, while collaborating with pharmaceutical companies to evaluate therapies directly in human systems to reduce the cost and risk of clinical trials.

Based in San Francisco, the company was founded in 2021 by two of the world’s leading experts in replacing animal models with human-first platforms.

Tech Stack

Parallel Bio models the immune systems of both healthy and diseased patients to uncover novel biology and identify drugs that actually work. We source blood and tissue directly from patients to build a proprietary biobank, which powers our immune organoids. Our organoids can be combined with other organ systems, cells, and tissues to create biologically accurate models of human health and disease at scale. These models then enter our closed loop end-to-end automation - a flywheel that continuously generates human biological data to build one of the largest datasets of its kind. The high-dimensional multi-omics data generated by our platform reveal new disease mechanisms, identify which drugs will succeed and why others fail in specific populations, and directly support FDA submissions. The result: a faster, smarter path from biological insight to the clinic.
