You’ll also work alongside the mechanical, propulsion, GNC, and seeker teams. The hardware you build will go through testing and demonstration campaigns.

What You’ll Do

Build hardware

  • Fabricate wiring harnesses and cables from drawings and wiring diagrams, including cutting, stripping, crimping, soldering, and connector assembly.
  • Assemble, solder, and rework circuit boards, including surface-mount and through-hole components.
  • Assemble avionics boxes, test setups, and ground support equipment.

Test and troubleshoot

  • Test harnesses and boards using multimeters, continuity and hipot testers, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
  • Help engineers bring up new boards and track down hardware problems.
  • Record test results and flag problems clearly.

Integrate and support tests

  • Install avionics and harnesses in the vehicle and in test setups.
  • Support ground tests, static fires, and flight tests, including setup, checkout, and teardown.

Keep the lab running

  • Follow build procedures and record build and inspection results.
  • Maintain the electronics lab, ESD controls, tools, and inventory of components and supplies.
  • Suggest improvements to procedures, tools, and fixtures to make builds faster and more consistent.

Required Qualifications

  • Associate degree, technical certificate, or military training in electronics or avionics, or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building or repairing electronics or wiring harnesses.
  • Strong soldering skills, including surface-mount and through-hole work.
  • Able to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and assembly drawings.
  • Comfortable with multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and other basic test equipment.
  • Careful, organized, and consistent in your work and records.
  • Must be a U.S. person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual). [Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. security clearance.]

Nice to Have

  • IPC certification (J-STD-001 or IPC/WHMA-A-620).
  • Military avionics or aerospace electronics experience.
  • Experience with aerospace or MIL-SPEC connectors and harnesses.
  • Experience supporting vehicle integration or field tests.
  • Prior early-stage startup experience.
