What you need

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong CAD skills (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA) for 3D modeling and system layout
  • Familiarity with eCAD (Altium, Cadence, Allegro) and harness design software (Capital, Zuken)
  • Experience with FEA, thermal analysis, fatigue/lifecycle testing
  • PCB layout process and manufacturing methods knowledge

What you'll do

  • Design electro-mechanical solutions for high voltage power electronics packaging, interconnects, thermal management, aircraft integration
  • Execute structural, thermal, vibration, clearance, and PCBA hardening analysis for harsh environments
  • Ensure avionics compliance with DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461
  • Own design from concept through verification and validation
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers and PCB designers on board design and packaging

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Design complex electro-mechanical solutions for high voltage power electronics packaging, electrical interconnects, thermal management, and aircraft integration
  • Execute analysis to ensure survivability in harsh environments. Such as structural, thermal, vibration, clearances, and PCBA hardening
  • Ensure avionics meet performance, safety, environmental, and EMI/EMC compliance standards, including DO-160, DO-254, DO-178C, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461
  • Own your design work from concept to implementation, through system verification and validation
  • Collaborate with electrical engineer and PCB designers to sure full scope board design and packaging meets the product demands

    • REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
  • Strong use of CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) for 3D modeling, drawing creation, and system layout.
  • Familiarity with eCAD software (Altium, Cadence, Allegro), and harness design software (Capital, Zuken)
  • Exposure to working with electrical engineers to define PCB constraints, develop circuit cards, and care for all the mechanical interfaces
  • Familiarity with the PCB layout process and manufacturing methods
  • Experience with finite element analysis (FEA), thermal analysis, and fatigue/lifecycle testing
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile development environment with evolving priorities
