This is an onsite entry level role located at White Sands Missile Range, NM.
In Systems Engineering and Test Capabilities (SE&TC) we integrate, verify, and validate our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
Raytheon’s Mission Capability and Verification Center (MCVC) located on White Sands Missile Range (WSMR), NM is searching for entry level Electrical Engineer to join the Effectors & Mission Support team The candidate will work in an engineering environment to support and facilitate testing of engineering hardware in accordance with customer and internal requirements and industry standards. Occasional travel within the United States and internationally is required.
What You Will Do
- Hands-on integration, operation, and maintenance of Air & Missile defense assets.
- Troubleshoot and assist in the repair of components using schematics and standard and specialized test equipment – such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, power meters, frequency counters, spectrum and digital analyzers.
- Support data collection, including set up and break down of telemetry equipment, perform analysis with software programs (Dewsoft and MATLAB) to create a deliverable report to the customer, and assist with problem-solving of systems issues real-time.
- Support mission execution test events for our radars or missile flight tests, which could include travel to various sites on range
- Test events may occur over weekends or holidays, and may require extended hours
Qualifications You Must Have
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) major obtained by start date.
- Experience may be obtained through on-the-job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active Secret clearance.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems in real time.
- Experience with data analysis using MATLAB.
- Ability to work in a team environment, multi-task, work under stress, and be flexible to support across multiple disciplines.
- Prior internship, co-op, or work experience.

This position requires ability to obtain a security clearance. The salary range for this role is 57,200 USD - 108,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
