Strategic Supply Chain, Raw Materials & Energetics

Compensation
$146,000–$194,000/year

Job Description

Anduril Industries is a defense technology company with a mission to transform U.S. and allied military capabilities with advanced technology. By bringing the expertise, technology, and business model of the 21st century’s most innovative companies to the defense industry, Anduril is changing how military systems are designed, built and sold. Anduril’s family of systems is powered by Lattice OS, an AI-powered operating system that turns thousands of data streams into a realtime, 3D command and control center. As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE TEAM
Production at Anduril is responsible for the end-to-end process of procuring, manufacturing, and delivering hardware to our customers. The Production BizOps team is dedicated to staffing heavy-hitters against the highest-priority problems in the organization to help deliver hardware on-time, with quality, at cost. As a Manager on this team, you will lead a team of business operations professionals tackling some of the most complex and consequential supply chain challenges in the defense industry.

ABOUT THE JOB
We are seeking a manager to lead a team focused on raw materials and energetics strategy — building the analytical foundation and forward-looking supply chain strategy that ensures Anduril can scale production without disruption from material shortages, geopolitical risk, or supplier fragility. You will develop deep expertise in the raw materials and energetics landscape and translate that knowledge into sourcing strategies, supplier development plans, and risk mitigation frameworks. You will partner directly with executives across Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, Engineering, and Program Management to translate ambiguous, high-stakes problems into structured analyses and executable strategies. You'll set priorities for your team, develop your people, and personally drive the highest-stakes workstreams.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of strategy and operations professionals, setting clear priorities and holding the team accountable to high-quality, high-speed execution.
  • Own Raw Materials & Energetics Strategy: Build a deep, first-principles understanding of the raw materials and energetics supply landscape — including critical minerals, rare earth elements, specialty chemicals, and propellant/explosive materials. Inform sourcing decisions, supplier development, and long-term supply agreements that ensure production continuity.
  • Sharpen Our View of Demand: Build and oversee models, frameworks, and processes that provide a clear, defensible picture of future raw material and energetics demand across products and programs. Pressure-test assumptions, quantify uncertainty, and translate demand signals into actionable inputs for procurement, manufacturing, and capacity planning.
  • Quantify and De-risk Commodity Exposure: Map sub-tier suppliers, monitor geopolitical dynamics, and build analytics to size exposure across critical material categories. Inform investment decisions on inventory, dual-sourcing, vertical integration, and long-term agreements.
  • Build the Strategy, Then Drive It: Synthesize analyses into a coherent supply strategy and bring it to life through executive recommendations. Own work end-to-end — from problem definition, to quantitative modeling, to exec-ready synthesis, to cross-functional implementation — and ensure your team operates at the same bar.
  • Collaborate with Executives: Structure and lead working sessions with senior leaders to frame decisions and drive alignment on trade-offs that materially shape the cost, schedule, and resilience of our production base. Translate complex findings into crisp narratives enabling rapid decision-making.
  • Go Deep in Data and Systems: Master our ERP, MRP, and supply chain data. Build scrappy analyses on short timelines and develop tooling and dashboards that let functional teams continuously measure and act on critical metrics.
  • Build the Team: Allocate your team against the highest-priority raw materials and energetics problems, match the right people to the right workstreams, and coach team members to grow into increasingly complex and ambiguous problem sets.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience in management consulting, investment banking, supply chain strategy, internal operations, a business analyst role — or some other experience where you just had to figure out how to get stuff done — with experience managing or leading a team.
  • You have a track record of developing people. You take pride in making the people around you better — through coaching, feedback, and setting a high bar.
  • You are self-driven and relentlessly proactive. You don't need someone to tell you to "move." You just move. We'd rather have to tell you to slow down than to speed up.
  • You don't wait on others to solve problems. You proactively step into the gap to offer solutions yourself — and you build a team that does the same.
  • You don't have to be told what to do or how to do it — you're the first one to bring forward solutions and ideas, then receptively take feedback and iterate with the team. You see your leadership peers as guardrails to keep you on track, but not the engine pushing you forward. You are that engine.
  • You have an appetite to build clear frameworks to structure problems. Hardware startups are messy — bringing clarity and structured thinking to the table is a huge asset.
  • You lean into acknowledging your weaknesses and take the idea of feedback and growth seriously — for yourself and for your team.
  • You get energy from developing others, being a thought partner, and translating operational problems into data problems — and then going and executing on them.
  • You have strong analytical aptitude. You intuitively think about problems in terms of numbers and data models, and you are able to quickly execute analyses in Excel or other tools.
  • You are comfortable communicating broadly and having a lot of eyes on your work. This role requires regular communication to large groups and senior leadership. This should excite you.
  • You enjoy working at a place where no one minds if you leave early one day to go to an appointment, but you also don't mind responding to Slacks in the evening while you're watching Netflix.
  • Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
