Design and Accommodation responsible for space products and telecom satellites (F/M)

Job Description:

Job Summary

We are seeking a Design and Accommodation Responsible (F/M) to join our team at Airbus Defence and Space SAS. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and optimal accommodation of space products and telecom satellites, ensuring efficient use of space and compliance with all technical requirements.

Job Responsibilities

* Lead the design and accommodation studies for various space products and telecom satellites, considering structural, thermal, electrical, and operational constraints.
* Develop and optimize layout solutions for satellite platforms and payloads, including equipment placement, harness routing, and antenna integration.
* Perform detailed analyses to validate design choices, manufacturability (MCI, tolerancing) and ensure performance against specifications.
* Collaborate closely with various engineering disciplines (e.g., mechanical, thermal, electrical, RF) to ensure a holistic and integrated design approach.
* Define and manage interfaces & kits between different satellite subsystems and components.
* Prepare technical documentation, including design descriptions, accommodation reports, and interface control documents.
* Participate in design reviews and technical meetings, presenting design solutions and addressing feedback.
* Contribute to the identification and implementation of innovative design methodologies and tools.
* Ensure compliance with project schedules, budget, and quality standards.

* Follow Design Office processes.

* Drive subcontracted Work Packages.


Job Qualifications

* Master's degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
* Proven experience > 5 years in the design and accommodation of space products or telecom satellites.
* Strong understanding of satellite architecture and subsystems.
* Proficiency in 3DEXPERIENCE.
* Knowledge of space environment constraints (e.g., thermal, radiation, vibration).

* Experience with configuration management.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong analytical mindset.
* Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
* Fluent in English; knowledge of French is a plus.
* Strong communication and presentation skills.

* Knowledge of DDMS context.
