Jiga Secures $12M Series A to Expand Hardware Sourcing for Aerospace and Defense
Custom physical parts procurement remains one of the slowest links in hardware development. While software cycles measure in hours, hardware teams frequently wait weeks to receive quotes on mechanical parts. Jiga, a Tel Aviv-founded procurement platform, closed a $12 million Series A funding round to address this delay across aerospace, defense, and robotics.
The round was led by Aleph, with participation from seed-round lead Symbol and Y Combinator, as reported by Pulse 2.0. The financing followed an earlier $4.1 million round led by Symbol reported by Payload Space. Despite operating with a team of 25 employees, Jiga was already profitable prior to raising the Series A, according to Yahoo Finance. As reported in Axios, the company may evaluate further fundraising to match demand from hardware builders.
Sourcing Parts as Vendor of Record
Founded in 2020 and a member of Y Combinator’s W21 batch, Jiga builds software to automate custom mechanical parts sourcing. The company counts organizations such as NASA, Siemens, and Tesla among its customers, handling thousands of requests for quotation (RFQs) monthly.
The platform coordinates communication between buyers and vetted suppliers, serving as the legal vendor of record. Engineers upload CAD drawings and technical specifications directly to the platform. Software agents parse mechanical requirements, extract context from buyer-supplier messaging, and identify scheduling or manufacturing risks before production begins.
"Hardware can't keep pace if engineers chase quotes instead of design, and supply chain teams are buried in spreadsheets instead of strategy," Chief Executive Officer Adar Hay told CTech. "We're eliminating the administrative burden so teams can move at AI-era speed."
Aleph partner Eden Shochat noted to Pulse 2.0: "Hardware moves only as fast as its supply chain. For decades, custom parts procurement couldn’t be automated—buried in PDFs, emails, spreadsheets. Jiga is finally cracking it. What took three weeks now takes three hours."
Leadership Background
Jiga was started by three founders with backgrounds spanning software engineering, operations, and media:

- Yonatan Wolowelsky, Co-founder and CTO: Wolowelsky studied interactive media at Tampere University of Applied Sciences. In 2017, he co-founded Spontix, where he served as chief technology officer.
- Assaf Geuz, Co-founder and COO: Geuz holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Media from the University of Haifa. He previously founded and led food-ordering platform AppToEat as CEO from 2014 to 2018.
Defense and Manufacturing Hiring Focus
Jiga plans to direct its Series A capital toward expanding production capacity, deepening automated quality assurance for flight- and mission-critical components, and broadening coverage across new manufacturing lines.
The company's current hiring activity highlights a dedicated push into regulated US and Israeli markets. Jiga is building out specialized commercial teams to capture defense budgets, hiring for positions such as Senior Account Executive - Defense ($130,000–$200,000 USD) and Content and Communications Manager, Aerospace and Defense.
On the production side, the company is recruiting engineers and operators to oversee programs and factory partnerships. Open technical and operational postings include a Manufacturing / NPI Engineer to support new product introductions and a Head of Supplier Growth to expand its manufacturing network. Most roles are remote-eligible across the United States, Israel, and Southeast Asia.
