Kivo adds cultural guardrails: "We're not a good fit if... You don't use AI for all parts of your engineering approach. You prefer working at large companies. You don't want to live and work in Seattle." Recruiters and dev shops are explicitly excluded.
The posting leans on that pedigree: "Come work with our talented team, including a former NASA engineer." Referral incentives are explicit: "Referrals increase your chances of interviewing at Kivo Health by 2x."
Seattle's AI talent pool is thick with competition. The same LinkedIn page surfaces adjacent senior AI roles posted within the past two weeks: NVIDIA, Microsoft, Adobe, SoFi, Nordstrom, Blue Origin, and the Gates Foundation all hiring in the region.
