Job Description
Sales Development Representative
Remote · Full-time · Healthcare AI
About Solum
Solum builds AI employees for healthcare practices. We started with revenue cycle work for therapy providers in the U.S., and today we run eligibility checks, verification of benefits, and prior authorizations, with a heavy focus on ABA and outpatient therapy practices.
We don't ask a practice to change how it works. We integrate into the CRMs, EHRs, and payer portals they already use, and the work comes back done.

Why this role exists
Nobody in healthcare wakes up wanting another vendor. Practice owners are buried in claims, staffing, and payer portals, and they are not looking for us.
Your job is to find the practices quietly losing money to denials, unverified benefits, and prior auth backlogs, and to get one of them to give us thirty minutes. You own the top of the funnel: the list, the message, the channel mix, and the meeting.
This is an early commercial seat. You will not inherit a playbook that already works. You will build it, break it, and rebuild it while the ICP is still moving. If that sounds like a problem, this is the wrong role. If it sounds like the reason to join, keep reading.
What you'll do
Build the target list. Identify practices worth our time by specialty, size, payer mix, and EHR. Find the owner, the billing lead, and the ops manager behind each one.
Write outbound worth replying to. Email, LinkedIn, and phone. Researched and specific, not a template with a merge field in it.
Run multi-channel campaigns. Apollo, Clay, Sales Navigator, Instantly, HubSpot, plus whatever AI tooling makes your research faster without making your writing generic.
Book qualified meetings and hand them off clean. Notes in HubSpot, context the founder can actually use, no surprises on the call.
Report the numbers weekly. Sent, reply rate, positive reply rate, meetings booked, meetings held, SQLs. You bring the read, not just the dashboard.
Sharpen the ICP. Every rejection is data. Feed it back into targeting and messaging, and kill what isn't working before it wastes another month.
What we're looking for
You've run outbound and can show the receipts. Sequences you wrote, replies you got, meetings you booked.
A strong writer. This is the single highest-weighted skill in the role. Excellent written and spoken English (B2/C1 minimum).
Fluency in the numbers. ICP, MQL, SQL, reply rate, positive reply rate, meetings held. If those terms are unfamiliar, this seat will be frustrating for both of us.
Tech-savvy and automation-minded. Comfortable in Clay, Apollo, Sales Navigator, and a CRM, and genuinely interested in using AI to do the parts of prospecting that don't need a human.
Healthcare experience is not required. Curiosity about how a clinic actually gets paid is.
Who thrives here
Treats a quiet week as a problem to solve rather than a stretch to wait out.
Would rather send forty researched emails than four hundred templated ones.
Tracks everything, and can tell you why a sequence worked instead of just that it did.
Comfortable with ambiguity. The messy part of the job, figuring out who to talk to and what actually lands, is the interesting part.
What success looks like
In your first month you know the ICP cold and can explain in one sentence why a specific practice should care.
By month three there is a documented, repeatable sequence that books meetings without you improvising every send, and a pipeline the founder can forecast against.
Past that, you are the person who knows the market best, and the messaging the rest of the company uses comes from what you learned in the inbox.
Compensation and benefits
Competitive USD base plus OTE
Stock options, so you own part of what you build
20+ days of paid time off
Health insurance
Gym and performance stipend
Direct access to the founder and the GTM team, with real say in what we build and who we sell to
The honest part
We are early and we move fast. Intensity is high, ownership is high, and the pace is not for everyone. If predictable hours are your priority right now, this seat will frustrate you. If you want to build a go to market motion from zero and be paid for the effort it takes, that is exactly the trade we are offering.
How to apply
Find my email and send me your CV with a short note on why you would outperform an AI SDR tool.
Apply through the job post as well. Doing both is part of the test.
