Job Description

At Senra Systems, we believe that the future of manufacturing lies not in automation, but in configuration.

We supercharge electrical wire harness manufacturing through software configuration, transforming skilled assembly tasks into high-throughput production lines. We enable customers to design what they want, when they want it and deliver harness builds at record-breaking speed.

Role Description

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer at Senra Systems, you will define and build the processes that drive how work flows through the business with functional owners, then partner with Product to ensure our software supports, enables, and enforces those processes in a simplified, streamlined way. The result is scalable, best-in-class operations that eliminate ambiguity, enforce discipline, and build the foundation for a company that can grow without breaking.

This role is approximately 70% Operations-focused and 30% Product/Software-focused. You will partner closely with leaders across Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, Inventory, Programs, and Production Planning to improve how the business operates while ensuring our internal software systems properly support those processes.

This is a forward-deployed, prescriptive role. You will be measured by the quality and adoption of the processes you design, the compliance of the teams you work with, and the operational improvements that result. You are not just defining the process, you are partnering with Product to encode those standards into software, reducing reliance on individual behavior and making the right way the default way.

Success in this role means eliminating tribal knowledge and replacing it with reliable, repeatable, consistent, effective processes, reducing dependency on operational leaders for day-to-day requirement gathering, improving process standardization, accelerating software implementation, and driving measurable operational improvements.

Responsibilities

Process Ownership & Improvement

  • Develop deep understanding of Senra’s end-to-end operational workflows, including Engineering, Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Inventory, Planning, Programs, and Estimating.
  • Design the ideal-state operational foundation for Senra - not documentation of current habits, but the best-in-class standard we are building toward. Define future-state processes that unlock scalability across every function: processes rigorous enough to enforce operational discipline, flexible enough to evolve with the business, and clear enough to get every team working from the same playbook.
  • Maintain and continuously improve that foundation - SOPs, workflows, business rules, and operating procedures - so it stays current, adopted, and reflected in how the business actually runs.
  • Identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and process gaps and drive structured improvement initiatives.

Product & Software Partnership

  • Serve as the primary Operations point of contact for Product Managers and Software Engineers.
  • Translate operational needs into user stories, business requirements, process flows, and acceptance criteria.
  • Partner with software teams to ensure solutions reflect real operational workflows.
  • Support prioritization of software enhancements based on operational impact and business value.

Implementation & Change Management

  • Own User Acceptance Testing (UAT), conference room pilots, and operational validation activities.
  • Develop rollout plans, training materials, and implementation strategies for new processes and software capabilities.
  • Facilitate training sessions and drive successful adoption across operational teams.
  • Measure and report on improvements resulting from process and system changes.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Manufacturing, Process, or Industrial Engineer.
  • Proven experience designing, documenting, and implementing operational processes in a fast-paced hardware manufacturing environment.
  • Expert-level understanding of manufacturing and supply chain operations.
  • Subject matter expertise in at least three of the following:
  • Estimating or Customer Program Management
  • Procurement
  • Material Planning
  • Scheduling
  • Inventory Management
  • Logistics
  • Manufacturing Engineering
  • Production
  • Production Operations
  • Quality
  • Experience writing SOPs, business requirements, process flows, and user stories.
  • Deep experience with process documentation standards: SOPs, value stream mapping, process flow diagrams, RACI frameworks, and current-state/future-state analysis
  • Experience leading UAT, software implementations, and operational rollouts.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills. High degree of comfort working across roles, leadership vs. IC levels, etc. Will need to present and drive conversations to work on solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Aerospace, electronics, or other high-mix manufacturing experience.
  • Startup or high-growth manufacturing experience.
  • Experience supporting ERP, MES, MRP, PLM, or internally developed software platforms.
  • Formal training or certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or operational excellence methodologies.

What Success Looks Like

  • Establishes and maintains scalable operational processes across key business functions. The process POC for Senra’s Operations team.
  • Becomes the primary liaison between Operations and Product/Software teams.
  • Reduces dependency on department leaders for software requirement gathering and process documentation.
  • Successfully leads UAT, implementation, and adoption of new software capabilities.
  • Delivers measurable improvements in operational efficiency, visibility, standardization, and execution.
