About the Team
IT at Pave keeps the company running — provisioning and securing every employee's access to the tools they need, managing the core platforms (Google Workspace, Okta, Iru) that the whole org depends on, and supporting every team at Pave, from Sales and Marketing to Finance, Legal, People Operations, and R&D, with the technology they need to do their jobs. The IT Manager owns this function day to day: operational stability, security and compliance hygiene, and vendor relationships, while looking for opportunities to bring AI tools and automation into how the team works and how Pave runs its internal operations.
What You'll Be Doing
- IT Operations & Platform Management
- Own and maintain core IT platforms across the company, including Google Workspace, Okta, and Iru
- Manage day-to-day identity and access administration: provisioning, deactivation, permissions, and device management
- Act as the go-to technical expert for the business, owning issues through to resolution
- Support and maintain AV equipment across the office, including conference rooms and all-hands/company-wide meeting setups
- Support a global, distributed workforce across Pave's offices, including San Francisco, New York City, Salt Lake City, the United Kingdom, and Poland
- Monitor system health, uptime, and security posture across managed platforms
- Team Leadership
- Manage a single IT FTE based in the SF office, including day-to-day direction, coaching, and performance feedback
- Set priorities and workload for the contractor, balancing reactive support needs with planned project work
- Security & Compliance
- Partner with the Security team on access controls, audits, and compliance requirements (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001) as they relate to IT-managed systems
- Maintain security best practices across endpoints, identity systems, and IT-owned infrastructure and AI infrastructure.
- Vendor & Budget Management
- Own and maintain the relationship with CDW, Pave's primary hardware supplier and SaaS channel partner, as well as other direct IT vendor relationships
- Manage the IT budget, including software licensing and hardware procurement
- Cross-Functional Support
- Design and maintain stable integrations between IT-owned systems and the business tools each department relies on, looking for opportunities to automate manual work
- Understand the technology needs of departments across the business and use that insight to shape what IT prioritizes, builds, and automates.
What You'll Bring
- Required Qualifications
- 6+ years of hands-on IT generalist experience, spanning systems administration, end-user support, and vendor coordination in a company with a distributed, multi-office workforce
- Experience delivering high-touch, white-glove onboarding for new hires, from equipment setup to account provisioning
- Hands-on experience administering core IT/business platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, Okta, Iru, and Claude Code)
- Experience managing IT operations end-to-end: support, access management, device management, and vendor relationships
- Demonstrated experience partnering cross-functionally with non-technical departments (e.g., Finance, Revenue Operations)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (e.g., for hardware setup, shipping, and office equipment needs)
- Bachelors Degree
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing or directly overseeing a team or contractor
- Familiarity with enterprise security/compliance requirements (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and how IT intersects with them
- Experience managing IT budgets and vendor contracts
- Background in high-growth B2B SaaS environments

Life @ Pave
Founded in 2019 with a clear purpose and a team that has never wavered from it, Pave has grown into a global force in compensation management — giving thousands of companies the tools to take control, build confidence, and earn credibility in every pay decision they make. And we're just getting started. Headquartered in San Francisco's Financial District, with regional hubs in New York City's Flatiron District, Salt Lake City, Kraków (Poland), and the United Kingdom — wherever you're based, you'll find the same thing: people who genuinely care about the work, each other, and the customers that rely on Pave.
We run a hybrid culture that brings teams together in person 3 to 4 days a week — and every Friday, the whole company gathers for our Team Sync: breakfast, new hire welcomes, product updates, fireside chats, and yes, the occasional Kahoot. It's one of the things people notice when they join us — that we truly enjoy spending time together.
Our culture is shaped by five values we live every day:
- Be Intellectually Honest — Truth over comfort. We face reality clearly and speak directly, even when it's hard.
- Play to Win — We're not here to participate. We're here to be the #1 compensation platform in the world, and we act like it.
- Uphold the Pave Platinum Standard — We hold ourselves to the highest bar — for our customers, our data, and each other.
- One Team — We win and lose together. Titles don't drive decisions here — shared goals do.
- Hug of Jawn — Hard to define, impossible to miss. Ask your recruiter.
Our Vision: Unlock a labor market built on trust.
Our Mission: Build confidence in every compensation decision.
We build software that transforms how companies pay their people — and we believe the team behind that software deserves the same thoughtfulness. If you're ready to help shape the future of compensation alongside people who are smart, humble, and genuinely motivated by the problem we're solving, we'd love to meet you.
Still deliberating? Just apply! We're always excited to meet people who are eager to contribute.
