GTM Internship

Overlap builds AI video agents for media companies, creators, podcasts, and streamers. We help teams automatically edit, distribute, and grow the best moments from long-form video and audio.

We work with companies including iHeartMedia, Barstool Sports, Stripe, Forbes, Yahoo, and others, alongside some of the largest creators and media brands on the internet.

The Role

We’re looking for a GTM Intern to help us find and reach the next generation of Overlap customers.

You’ll be primarily focused on lead generation, account sourcing, and outbound across two major customer groups: large media companies and high-growth creators, including podcasts and streamers.

This is a research-heavy, high-agency role. You’ll identify the right companies and creators, figure out who actually owns the problem we solve, find ways to reach them, and help turn those accounts into sales opportunities.

Our contracts range from traditional SaaS subscriptions to CPM-based, outcome-driven agreements, so you’ll learn how to sell both software and measurable business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

• Source high-potential media companies, creators, podcasts, and streamers
• Build targeted account and prospect lists based on clear customer profiles
• Identify the right decision-makers within larger organizations
• Research prospects deeply enough to understand their content strategy and where Overlap fits
• Find emails, social profiles, warm connections, and other paths into target accounts
• Run and improve outbound campaigns across email, LinkedIn, X, and other channels
• Personalize outreach around each prospect rather than relying on generic sequences
• Work directly with the founders to test new verticals, customer segments, and GTM strategies
• Help maintain and improve our CRM and sales pipeline
• Analyze what sourcing channels and messaging actually convert, then iterate quickly

What We’re Looking For

• Extremely resourceful and good at finding information online
• Strong written communication skills
• Comfortable reaching out to people you don’t know
• Organized and able to manage large numbers of prospects without losing attention to detail
• Curious about media, creators, podcasts, streaming, and the internet
• Competitive and motivated by measurable results
• High agency — you don’t stop at “I couldn’t find it”
• Comfortable working quickly without perfect instructions
• Willingness to work in-person in San Francisco

Bonus Points

• Prior sales, business development, recruiting, or lead-generation experience
• Experience with tools like Clay, Apollo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, HubSpot, or similar
• Experience building automated prospecting or enrichment workflows
• Deep knowledge of the creator, podcast, streaming, or digital media ecosystem
• You’ve sold something before — software, sponsorships, services, or your own project
• You have unusual ways of finding and getting in touch with hard-to-reach people
