Job Description
About the Team
OpenAI’s mission is to ensure that artificial general intelligence benefits all of humanity. The Creator Partnerships team supports that mission by building trusted relationships with creators, talent, experts, and organizations that help people understand and use AI in meaningful ways.
We work closely with teams across OpenAI to develop thoughtful partnerships and programs grounded in trust, usefulness, cultural relevance, and measurable impact. Our focus extends beyond promoting individual product features. We aim to help partners discover valuable applications of AI, share credible insights with their communities, and create lasting value for both OpenAI and the people we work with.
About the Role
We are seeking a Scaled Partnerships Manager to own the agency relationships and operating systems that enable OpenAI to work with influencers and creators at scale. This person will manage key creator marketing agencies and platforms, establish clear standards for selection, pricing, deliverables, brand safety, execution, and measurement, and ensure our programs are both culturally credible and operationally rigorous.
You will translate go-to-market priorities into repeatable creator programs across a mix of micro, mid-tier, and larger creators. You will be accountable for the full agency and campaign lifecycle, from annual planning and briefing through execution, paid amplification, reporting, optimization, and post-program learning.
This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We use a hybrid work model of three days in the office per week and offer relocation assistance to new employees.
In This Role, You Will
Lead scaled creator marketing programs aligned to business priorities.
Own the creator agency portfolio, including partner selection, scopes, budgets, staffing, performance expectations, operating cadence, and business reviews.
Build a clear agency model that defines each partner’s role, internal and external ownership, and how work moves from brief through launch and reporting.
Hold agencies accountable for day-to-day creator sourcing, vetting, negotiation, contracting, content development, execution, and optimization.
Partner with Creator Partnerships to determine what belongs in the scaled motion and when a creator requires a bespoke, relationship-led approach.
Direct high-volume paid creator programs across the creator spectrum, aligning creator selection, campaign scope, and investment with audience and performance goals.
Standardize creator tiering, pricing, usage rights, disclosures, content approvals, brand safety, and escalation processes.
Establish consistent briefs, deliverable packages, rate benchmarks, negotiation principles, timelines, and measurement requirements.
Partner with Growth and Media on paid amplification, creator licensing, whitelisting, audience testing, and reuse of high-performing content.
Set campaign goals and reporting frameworks across awareness, engagement, education, adoption, conversion, content performance, and brand impact.
Use performance data, audience insights, and cultural signals to optimize creator mix, creative formats, agency performance, and investment.
Coordinate across Brand, Creative, Product Marketing, Growth, Communications, Legal, Safety, Finance, Procurement, and regional teams.
Build campaign-level operating infrastructure for scaled creator marketing, including campaign intake and prioritization, calendars, workflows, agency governance, performance dashboards, and post-campaign learning..
Protect OpenAI’s brand and user trust by holding agencies and creators to clear standards for accuracy, disclosure, product claims, rights, safety, and responsible AI communication.
You Might Thrive in This Role If You
Have 14+ years of experience in creator, influencer, integrated, social, growth, or paid media marketing, including significant agency management.
Have led high-volume creator programs across multiple campaigns, audiences, markets, budgets, and cross-functional teams.
Have a strong track record selecting, managing, and holding creator agencies accountable for creative quality, operational excellence, and business results.
Understand the full creator marketing lifecycle, from sourcing and vetting through contracting, content development, amplification, reporting, and optimization.
Can operate creator marketing with the rigor of a performance channel while protecting creator authenticity and audience trust.
Understand paid social, creator licensing, whitelisting, content testing, attribution, and cross-channel measurement.
Can build practical systems, standards, benchmarks, and dashboards that improve speed, consistency, transparency, and decision-making.
Are a disciplined budget and agency manager who can negotiate effectively, clarify accountability, and address underperformance quickly.
Can translate product and go-to-market priorities into clear briefs, audience strategies, and repeatable creator programs.
Bring strong cultural judgment around creator selection, creative control, disclosure, brand safety, rights, and responsible AI communication.
Can influence senior stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Communications, Legal, Safety, Finance, Procurement, and regional teams.
Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and can balance strategic planning with hands-on execution while building a new capability from the ground up.
