ROLE OVERVIEW

We’re looking for full-stack product engineers to own big parts of our fast growing marketplace including our marketplace storefront, next-gen course platform, and recommendation and data systems.

• High degree of ownership over our technical systems and product roadmap

• Experiment with and use the latest agentic coding tools

• Close knit team with the flexibility of remote work (in the US/Canada)

• Have 5+ years of experience shipping real features to a real user base

• Think deeply about user facing product details, while also thinking about data model design and system architecture

• Exhibit a high degree of agency and conscientiousness in your work

• Are a crisp and thoughtful communicator

We use React+Nextjs, Python+FastAPI, Postgres+OpenSearch, OpenAI, dbt+Snowflake.

TEAM AND CULTURE

Maven is a small, high-trust, high-ownership team (currently 20 total). We move fast, write often, and bias toward action. You will be expected to both think strategically and own end-to-end processes as part of your role.

We post regular status updates to dedicated Slack channels to get input. If you’re blocked, everyone is there to help (but otherwise we’ll assume you’re on it). This makes Maven a great cross-functional learning environment. Expect direct feedback every single day!

We are fully remote, with no-meeting Wednesdays and company demos on Fridays. We gather for a week-long offsite twice a year, where we discuss strategy, pitch new ideas, and get absurdly competitive over random games.

COMPENSATION

$180 - $220k in salary with strong benefits and equity.
