About Luthor

The next financial crisis could start with a sentence nobody checked.

AI is making it possible for companies to create more content than humans can possibly review.

That’s the problem we solve. Luthor eliminates the gap between what companies say and what they can stand behind.

We build AI-powered governance for enterprise communications, helping financial and legal institutions review, approve, and monitor content at the speed of modern production.

Over the past year, we’ve onboarded some of the world’s largest public financial institutions, surpassed $900B+ AUM on platform, and expanded across banks, lenders, asset managers, and law firms.

Our ambition is to stop the next financial disaster before it starts.

About the role

This is a founding sales role with a proven motion already in place.

You’ll own pipeline and close business across financial institutions, working directly with the founders to scale what’s already working. Luthor has already onboarded some of the world’s largest financial institutions and surpassed $900B+ AUM on platform. Your job is to turn that traction into a repeatable, high-velocity sales engine.

You’ll prospect, run discovery, demo the product, navigate security and procurement, negotiate commercial terms, and own deals through signature.

What you’ll do

  • Build your own pipeline: Identify the right accounts, map stakeholders, write outbound, make calls, and create opportunities from scratch.
  • Own industry events: Attend the conferences where our buyers spend time, build relationships in person, and turn those conversations into pipeline.
  • Run the full deal cycle: Lead discovery, demos, pricing, security reviews, procurement, redlines, negotiation, and signature.
  • Sell into sophisticated financial institutions: You’ll work with banks, lenders, asset managers, RIAs, and other regulated organizations where the pain is real and the buying process is complex.
  • Navigate multiple stakeholders: Deals can involve compliance, legal, marketing, security, procurement, and executive leadership. You’ll learn how to build consensus and keep deals moving.
  • Scale the sales machine: We already know how to win customers. You’ll help us do it more consistently, across more accounts, with sharper outbound, stronger qualification, and a more repeatable enterprise sales process.
  • Bring the market back into the company: You’ll work closely with product and engineering, translating what you hear from customers into better messaging, sharper positioning, and product insight.

Who you are

  • You have closed your own deals: You have at least 2+ years of sales experience and have taken deals from first conversation through signature yourself.
  • You are willing to prospect: You don’t believe pipeline is someone else’s job. You’re comfortable picking up the phone, sending thoughtful outbound, and creating your own opportunities.
  • You can sell a complex product: You can understand technical concepts, explain them simply, and make them relevant to the person sitting across from you.
  • You are comfortable selling to senior stakeholders: You can run a strong discovery call, give a compelling demo, and build trust with executives and functional leaders.
  • You use AI as leverage: AI should already be part of how you research accounts, prepare for calls, write outreach, analyze conversations, and improve your sales process.
  • You learn the domain deeply: You do not need to be a compliance expert on day one, but you should want to understand the regulations, workflows, and risks our customers deal with.
  • You are in San Francisco: This is an in-person role. You’ll work closely with the founders and the rest of the team.
  • Low ego, high standards: We review calls, challenge assumptions, and give direct feedback. You should want that.

What success looks like

In your first 14 days, you’ll learn the product, customer, market, and sales motion deeply enough to run discovery and demos independently.

By 30 days, you’ll be consistently creating your own pipeline and actively running deals.

By 60 days, you’ll be closing business, contributing to the sales playbook, and helping us scale what is already working.
